Professor Moscardelli is great. I loved his classes and highly recommend him. One of my favorites. He is funny and accessible outside class if you need help with anything. Participation does matter though so try to avoid skipping too much. His exams arent bad because he lets you choose which questions to answer and they vary by type.

This is a simple 1000 level course and it seemed as if the professor took his job way too seriously. The exams were ridiculously hard and there was an unbearable amount of reading. There was a midterm a paper and a final exam and if you failed one you were basically screwed for the rest of the class. By far the hardest class i have ever taken!!!!

fantastic professor! i would recommend him to anyone. very clear and knowledable. teaches his american politics class without bias, which is very difficult to do. little use of textbook; as long as you know the powerpoints and do the online readings you'll do fine. attendence taken in discussion frequently but attendence at lecture is taken rarely

Professor was far too detached from the class. Tests were handed back late, and had almost no time for helping students. He is another one of those guys who got bored in Washington and figured that being a college professor was a good way to get paid for life. Very disappointing.

straightforward. harder than some gen-eds but is very interesting and this class will help you in the real world. good professor, just study hard, and you can do fine. don't need to know anything about politics before to do well. go to discussions and lecture and read as you go on and you can get an A

You get out of his class what you put into it. Come to class, pay attention, and do the readings, you will do fine. Very fair on papers and tests. Paper required a lot of research and analysis, but was reasonable on the grading. Learned more in this class than in any other by far.

The only way you don't do well is if you don't try. The class is straight forward... midterm was alot harder than the final. Good guy, better teacher.

Brilliant. The class definitely requires a good amount of interest in the topic to do well and the material is fairly in depth. Easily the best class and professor I've had at UMASS. Pretty tough but worth it.

Challenging 100 level. First test is somewhat hard coming out kind of awkward. Yet, if one studied correctly everything should be ok. The paper is also pretty hard based on a mundane read. As class progresses and one understands how he works the final is much easier, he is a spirited professor which is nice. This class enhanced my political views.

one of the harderst classes iv have all year. extrememly intelligent prof. but does not understand that this is a 100 course. takes it way too seriously and give the hardest exam you could imagine. essay questions... and for a review basically states- know everything. not good at helping guide students to do well on exams! BOOOOO TO THIS CLASS
