She's a good teacher/friendly, but she has a temper. When she does, it's discouraging and feels unnecessary. She bounces back quickly, though. Everyone's got days, but at work, you leave your personal life at the door. It's much harder to be polite when you're, say, a waitress, than when a whole classroom obeys and acknowledges your authority.

Dr. Chappell is the most discouraging teacher I've ever had. She attacks your writing, and you personally, one on one, and in front of the rest of the class. She thinks she knows everything, and although she is a great writer, she has taught me exactly what NOT to do as a future teacher.
