He is a very tough grader and if you can, get another teacher. The First test and last one are hard, but the second one is easier. He does give a curve at the end of the class on your over all grade, but you have to do very good on all the test if you plan to pass the class.

His lectures were fairly informative, and homework problems usually corresponded closely to what he lectured. However, I had some specific issues about how to work certain problems - and his explanations were not sufficient for me. So, I often had to open the book and scour it for an appropriate example. He grades toughly, but there is a curve.

Great teacher, tough grader. Always helpful if you go see him in his office. Some people on here say he's boring, but you're not going to college to be entertained, you're going to college to be an engineer. Get over it. He teaches the material thoroughly and then tests you on it likewise.

I liked him for 287 and 201. But god help you when you have to take Power with him. His boringness grows exponentially in this class, and the material is very deceiving. Its super easy for the 1st test, then SUPER hard in the end. He failed our entire class so dont get excited about a curve. There were 2 Bs, 1 A, rest were C's and Fs. GOODLUCK

Horrible teacher. Asked for him to put some slides he did in class on Blackboard because he goes through them so fast, said that if he did we "Wouldn't be motivated to learn or come to class." What makes is worse now is that he is the only one that teaches it. Make sure you get this class done before going to ODU or take it somewhere else.

201 was probably my favorite class so far in college. All the horror stories you hear are from people who are dumb and cant think logically. Hes really helpful and very nice when you go to his office. Make sure you work hard on the homework and understand it for the tests; many times its the exact same question from the hw. Pulled a B+ easily.

Dr. Lakdawala is a great teacher... he's got a lot of stuff to cover in the course so if he moves too fast for you, go and see him. He's very nice if you ask for help, and he provides tons of extra material to help you understand things, so if you're getting left behind, it's probably due to a lack of your own efforts

don't listen to what everyone else says, ....Dr. L is the man. Go to class and visit him in his office so he will like you. The TAs are awesome and are extremely helpful. Homework and tests are hard but fair.

Good teacher. If you have a question, ask, otherwise he will assume you understand. He is helping develop custom web modules to go along with the course to help out. Use the tutors that he has set the class up with as they know what they are doing and will be more than willing to help out with homework.

he is the worst teacher ever. he doesnt really help his students and he goes over simple problems in class which are not like the hw. i advised you to read the book and make sure you go to the class sessions that he covers that arent in the book. try to pass at least one test..and the final is hard as hell...so good luck

WORST PROF. I HAVE EVER HAD, PERIOD. You will learn nothing and will hate him doing it. What a perfectly good waste of an otherwise important class. I don't know why they continue to give him a paycheck. It's really sad. The bad part is, I am sure he thinks he is doing a wonderful job and that the students are just lazy. Weak.
