I work with accountants who can recall how terrible his class was over 10 years ago. Be prepared for WEEKLY individual & team homework. Every class will be about individual and team quizzes. He will not go over assigned problems, you have to decipher his grading/handwriting when you receive back your work. Only accounting class I will not have Aced

As a professor, Dr. Wood is pretty awful, but getting a decent grade in his class is not hard. The class might as well be online because he doesn't do anything helpful as a person. But the content and homework is so easy. The practice homeworks give you the answers to the actual homework and random quizzes are made by classmates. Super easy.

Absolutely the worst professor i have ever taken. He doesnt teach a single thing, his powerpoints are not revelant to the chapters we are suppose to be on, he doesnt help his students, and your grade is based on online pre tests every sunday, group quizzes, and a $20 subscription to TopHat that was a waist of money and time. DO NOT TAKE!

Worst teacher I have ever had in my life. Doesn't teach well, makes you complete the exam before you even learn the material. The grading is horrible. You make paper airplanes as a lesson. Class is completely useless and a waste of money.

The worst teacher I have ever had in my college career. Wasn't helpful at all, wasn't fair at grading. Didn't teach the material in an effective way. You either got a 100 on an assignment, or failed. Tests were taken online BEFORE we learned about that chapter. He is a useless person.

Professor Wood may be the worst professor I have ever had at the University of Cincinnati. He refuses to answer questions except in a roundabout way. He doesn't teach the material, and the online homework doesn't relate to what he talks about in class. We made 100 paper airplanes in one class that served no purpose. This class is a waste of money.

Out of all the accounting classes I've taken at UC, I learned the least in Cost Accounting with Prof Wood. Be prepared to take a quiz on the syllabus(good luck getting a good grade on it). He randomly assigns groups, just hope to God you have a good one. Very tough but if you study you should be able to come out with at least a B.

Very interesting person. Weird. Strange. Smart. Doesn't relate well to students, but teaching a great ethics class. He got me thinking about a lot of things I'd never thought about before. And in new ways. Would recommend this class to anyone willing to work and learn to deal with groups.

He is not fit to be a professor in any way whatsoever. There is a reason he is one of the lowest rated professors on this website. He grades unfairly, forces you into abrasive group work, disregards his syllabus, grades based on his opinions and not correctness and is overall a terrible person. The department should fire him already.

I learned almost nothing in Cost except wally wood is out there. Pulled off in A in AIS but still learned nothing. If you want an A go to every class and hold onto your hw.He will lose 3-4. Don't expect to learn much though.

I took cost accounting from him. The class was AWFUL - very bad teacher, tests are designed to stretch you but sometimes contain stuff we didn't cover in class or in the book. Didn't feel I learned much, if at all, about cost accounting. Be sure to get in a good group otherwise you will have a hard time getting through this class.

Cost Acc is harder than ethics with Wood. It is not quite the nightmare many claim. Attendance is a must-no excused absences. Keys: Hope to end up in good group and put in several hours each week. While he is often unclear, he will try to help on problems. Important to go into very difficult final with good grade. Final is hardest obstacle.

Complete lack of respect for student time. Regularly kept us LATE for our 3 1/2 hour night class. Anything he writes on the board is incomprehensible. Montesori attitude: refuses to teach, believes that the text's job and only answers questions. Class is largely just doing problems while he grades papers. Jokes are awful--no one ever laughs.

Aweful and disorganized. Hes ok for ethics but should not be allowed to teach cost. I did not learn a thing and cost is 25% of C.P.A. exam. I feel cheated out of learning cost accounting.
