Very nice teacher, wants you to get an A and will go out of his way to help. Very clear on what he wants and expects even if you don't get an A on the paper you have the whole semester to redo it and resubmit it.

Very interesting class! He's nice and easy to get along with. Interview paper is a little ridiculous. It was vague with requirements so most of the people I know got B's. First test was very easy! Haven't had the final yet though. Overall, it's a good one!

easy teacher. grades papers fair, easy final, lots of group work but easy. nice and understanding and talks about stories as a class. homework every week but easy can be done in like 10 minutes.

I dont know what all the fuss is about. Hes a bit boring but he teaches pretty cool classes, like a class on the 60's/70's. You watch youtube in class and pretty much talk about what you see...his tests come from DISCUSSION in class, and there is hardly any notes and depending on the class, hardly any reading. Go to class, talk, easy A/B.

Great teacher, probably one of the best American Studies teachers at UNCC. I definetly recommend Dr. Squire to anyone persuing an American Studies minor or even if your taking an elective course. The main thing is that you go to every class. All the exam questions come directly from topics discussed in class. If you go to every class expect an A

Probably just about the easiest teacher ever, but you still learn most of the "material" in his class. Topics covered aren't always the most interesting nor are the books. Just do your papers and listen to the lectures and you'll have an easy A.

Unlike other English course you actually have to work hard for an A in this class because he doesn't give 'em out easily. Gives you a series of papers crammed together and busy work during class. Does provide rubric to each paper but still a tough grader. I wouldn't take this class unless you can really devote time to write papers

very easy A if you can put up with him. gives you plenty of busywork because he doesn't believe in ending class early. VERY lengthy and confusing assignment sheets. Talks circles around not only the question but himself. yes an easy A, but definitely not worth the effort of trying to get a straight answer out of this man!

Overall, he is helpful. He gives chance upon chance to fix your essays. This is after he tells you every little detail that is wrong with you paper. No excuse not to turn in a good essay. Take him if you have the chance. Just be sure you go to class.

Ok so although this guy will bore the hell out of you, he is possibly the easiest grader on the face of the earth. Our 10 pts. for the exam was given to us just for attending the exam and gave us 10 extra points for reading 1 essay!! Take him if you are given the chance, GPA boost no doubt.
