Group assignments are sort of tedious, especially if you have a lame group. Lecturing style is a bit awkward, but that's just her personality. She doesn't do quizzes anymore. I don't mind her class!

Dr Boyer definitley cares but It does not come across the way she may hope! Was not able to take a whole lot away from the class. You can study your bum off but she doesn't choose many main points from the text book for the quizes! They seem very random. WARNING! First group you're in is your forever group! I would recommend 420 with her no pro so!

Very condescending. Tries to create an "inclusive classroom" but does not make students feel like they are included. Tries to be supportive, but she is not very good at it. I'm sure she is an effective psychologist, but Wanda Boyer is not an effective teacher, and shouldn't be teaching future teachers. Poor role model.

Very Organized, and details everything you need to know. Constantly sending emails to class to keep them on track. More than any other prof I've had. Has an awkward style, but she genuinely wants people to do well.

Was very disappointed - It was not safe to voice an opinion that differed from hers, inappropriate classroom management; I would avoid this prof if at all possible. And, an 'A+' for everyone on our first paper? How is this effectively teaching future teachers to be fair in dispensing grades? A reflection of 'this classroom is my empire'

TERRIBLE! Rude, obnoxious, and just plain mean to most of the students in the class. She is easily sidetracked, yet expected us to know everything that she 'meant' to cover in class. I often did homework for other classes during her time, and teaching myself the material at home after class. Avoid Wanda as a teacher if at all possible.

the absolute shrill of her voice echoing through your brain is enough top make you hate this woman, but she is just absolutely psycho, and worse yet she's been giving everyone the same grade on every paper since 2002. If you have an option, don't waste your time or money

She rudely, and publicly, humiliated one of our classmates by telling her to stop participating (and there is a participation mark in this class...), she stares, she STILL hasn't taken off her purse (ever), she "yell" lectures, she tries SO hard and it's really awkward, and she is manipulative (words students' answers to be what she wants to hear).

Always prepared for class. Sometimes a little flustered with her technology skills... Her appearance and personality seems a bit weird. Everyone in our class got an A+ on our first essay. Be prepared to thoroughly read the text because the midterm and final have very specific questions. Overall, a mediocre experience.

Very organized teacher who goes through material so thoroughly that you can't help but learn it. Has a bad reputation, but cares about what she teaches, marks fairly, and gives great feedback on assignments. I liked her. Nothing wrong with a little neurosis.

Tries real hard to be nice - but comes off as desperate. Her tests are easy and she tells you exactly what to expect on the final... but her personally can be lacking. She also is obsessive with attendance - she gives a student survey at beginning of year, but dont put your phone # down!! She calls you and hunts you down when you're away - creepy!!

Her anxiety and need to be liked contols the class. She has very little knowledge of qualitative research and was comfortable in a box - critical thinking was not encouraged in her class. She is unpredictable, manipulative, and unable to take responsibility for her actions.

These comments do not reflect my experience with her at all. She has been an excellent teacher, providing clear feedback. She makes dry material more interesting to learn and truly cares about her students. She does expect her students to take responsibility for their own learning.
