Literally the nicest person you will ever come across. Speaks quickly but not even close to being difficult to understand. Class was incredibly interesting, he graded very fairly, and an optional final GROUP essay with allocations for the final exam? What else could anyone want? My man Dr. Yang is rocking and cares about his students so much.

He is a wonderful, caring man who wants you to be happy and comfortable in his class. He was incredibly passionate discussing China and it made the course interesting. His accent is hard, but only because he is so passionate that he forgets to slow down and ununciate. I will miss his smiling face after this semester!!

Amazing prof. He gets a lot of criticism for his accent, but honestly if you come to class you don't even notice it after a few lectures. The most genuine prof ive ever had. Asked him to put a textbook on reserve at the library because I couldn't afford to buy it, but he offered to let me use his a few hours a week for the semester. Genuinely cares

Everyone ripping him needs to man up. His accent is fine, he's very nice, and I've never had a prof care more about his students. He tells you exactly what you need to know for the midterm and final, his labs are clear, and he wants to know his students. Say hi to him! Dr. Yang, if you read this, don't stop doing what you're doing my friend.

I took GEOG 3600 and I really was not excited about it what so ever. He was hard to understand but a fair marker. After going into the course though it really was interesting. He could use more assignments, the final was worth alot if you did not do the optional assignments

He has got to be the worst prof ever! I have learned more while sitting on the toilet reading the saturday comics than I have in his class. He is next to impossible to understand, and who cares about his family. I sure don't!! If I wanted not to understand somebody I would listen to my girlfriend! Thanks for nothing!

No idea what he's talking about most of the time. He encourages us to come see him for help, but when you go there, you wish you hadn't. GEOG3480 is too basic and would not prepare you for this course. TAs aren't really helpful either.

Horrible Experience. When I went for help he got mad if I didn't understand and made me feel stupid. He yelled at me and I never went back. He's smart but does not know how to deal with students. Should not be a prof!

Nice guy, who i am sure knows exactly what he is talking about, but that is about everyone who does. His accent is tricky but managable but his overheads and on-line notes are so poorly typed that it makes them very, very frustrating to read. I love the class material and i find it so easy but Yang is bring down my excitment level.

Man, Just aweful. His class was seriously flawed. Students were left basically to learn the program thereselves. Always a line outside his office basically because everyone needed help. I hope the course gets overhauled.
