I was great at math until I took his class. He tells you to ask questions and when you do he makes you explain them before he "answers" them. He's a nice guy and you can visit him at his office hours, but if you aren't a good test taker you'll fail the class.

Comment:

Mannix is amazing. He doesn't use web assign and he'll teach you how to do the math without calculator applications. Tests certainly aren't easy but he's good with office hours and offering help. He's sarcastic, so you'll need a sense of humor but I found him to be so sweet and amusing. I really enjoyed his class, my favorite by far.

Mr. Mannix is a terrible person. He won't start teaching a class until someone asks a question on the homework and if you're the brave soul who asks a question he will belittle you and try and make you feel like an idiot. Also, if he asks you a question, even if you get it right he says you're wrong and says the exact same thing in a different way.

Mr. Mannix is the man! At first i wasn't a huge fan, but he is great! I wish he was teaching 110 next semester. His tests are easy if you take notes. He is so helpful and I love him as a teacher!

Mr. Mannix is the most amazing teacher. He is so thorough and allows you to ask questions all the time. He will rephrase things in different ways to make sure you understand. The lesson always helps with the homework assignment. Pay attention and take notes in class and homework and tests/quizzes aren't bad. My favorite teacher this semester!

Mr. Mannix is one of the best professors at Siena. He is dedicated and wants to see his students succeed. I hated Qbus but ended up taking Mr. Mannix for two semesters because he is so helpful. You will not have a problem if you come to class and take notes. He explains everything you just have to listen and pay attention.

One of the most caring/dedicated professors I've met at Siena. Cares a lot about students and puts in effort to make sure everyone understands material. Class is not the easiest itself, but if you put in a lot of work and studying for his exams which are somewhat difficult you will get an A.

My favorite class this semester (although thats not saying too much.) If you attend class, and actually do the homework you should be fine. I thought he explained things enough. There is homework every night, but he doesn't check it- but still try to do it because it really does help. I would take him again.

Very good teacher. Yes he will make you think, but in this course, if you dont think then you cant get a good grasp of the material.
