Do not take him unless you're a math genius. I don't doubt that he is smart, but can not put material on a low enough level for you to learn it. Will do a problem that takes up the whole board, then erase part saying he made a mistake. You will be totally lost unless you already know the material. Lucky that I got a D.

WOW! What a guy! I don't think i have ever taken a class that i've hated so passionatly. hah This guy is a joke. i don't understand why he is teaching this course when he doesn't know how to dumb down the material at all. He's too smart for my use. Not helpfull at all. If hear him say that one more problem is "intruiging" i think i'll kill myself.

He's terrible. He talks to the white board while standing in front of it so you can't tell what he's doing. I basically had to teach myself from the book. He will spend the first 30 minutes of class telling you how terribly important it is to learn math but he never actually teaches it. DO NOT TAKE.

Dr. Proctor will try to help you as much as possible, but there are times in class where he is not clear. I think this is because of the department's propensity to theoretical math, though. He should offer an index card on the final for all the indenties because as a famous man said, true knowledge is knowing where to find answers.

Okay, he's not the easiest prof in the department. In fact, he's the toughest. But if you're like me and actually want to learn the material so you never have to take it again, take Proctor. He'll help you as much as he can and he'll do it with a smile. All he's looking for in his class is a willingness to learn.

I hated this class. He can not teach. He talks about stuff in the class that has nothing to do with the homework. If he has time he might go over questions out of the book but usually just rambles and gets off topic easily. I am hoping to pass and I usually love math!

If you are in there to really learn, get out while you can still get your money. He rambles on about the philosophies and how concepts came to be instead of teaching you the things you'll need to know for your homework, of which you have every night. He has a monotonous voice and insists that he is right (especially on things involving calculators---he'll tell you that you entered it wrong no matter what). So once again, if you want to learn instead of just get a grade, look into getting someone else.

He is not the easiest teacher, but he loves what he is teaching and is always willing to help. This is the easiest math class to take and I loved having a teacher that was actually intrested in what he was teaching. If you take notes and do the homework this is not a difficult class.
