She is not the best teacher I've ever had. She acts as though shes concerned and wants you to succeed? HA! Great joke. You are basically being set up for failure when you take her course. NOT taking that class with her AGAIN. ALSO! Be prepared to look stupid when you go to ask about something you don't get to be treated like you're stupid.

She is the worse teacher in Delta. Never ever taker her class again. She is tough grader and wants everything perfect. She always says do you have any question, but when you ask her she looks so mad to answer your question.

Dr. Burns was my least favorite professor I've had in 3 years. Not accessible, and doesn't give mutual respect to her class. When you have a question, it feels like you are inconveniencing her by asking. Tests are incredibly difficult! I would not take her again!!

Like everyone else says, she doesn't lift a finger to teach. She will tell you in the beginning of the course that she realizes that not everyone has internet at home so she doesnt bother posting grades online, but will expect you to look things up on the internet for points in the class. She is very unclear in her directions and what she wants.

Dr. Burns is a great teacher. She does treat the class like we are grad students. She won't hold your hand through the material, but she is always there if you don't understand something. She treats you as if you are responsible for your education (crazy right) Some students are not ready for this. The material is hard. Be prepared to work.

Teaches like you are in grad school & expects you to regurgitate word for word on essay ?'s & will take MAJOR points off if you don't (looks to take points away) Even when you ask for help, she still makes you feel dumb & gives you attitude, the crapshoot of it is that she is only prof who teaches 241, so she knows she has you over a barrel.

Ridiculous. You teach yourself the models for several class periods, and then do notes the class before exam day, most of your exam grade is the written part. I hope you don't have many questions because you feel stupid after asking them. She actually yelled at our class when EVERY person did bad on an exam, take a different professor.

She uses outdated papers, types up the notes which isn't helpful if you're someone who need to write to remember. Don't bother getting the textbook because she claims everything is wrong in there anyways. Choose a different professor because she's the worst teacher I've ever had.

By far the worst teacher I've ever had. She believes shes right no matter what. Once, the entire class all did poorly on an exam and decided that yelling at us was the best way to handle that. She will make you feel dumb. She thinks if you don't study her way you're wrong - but not everyone learns the same. Uses old overheads. Only teaches one way.

Hardest class I've ever taken. Take the class with a different professor. She teaches but expects you to know everything in the notes on the test. Will mark down if information is missing. Lots of essays on her tests. Lots of them. True and false as well. Have to correct it if it's false. Take this class with a different professor.

This class was horrible, she is ignorant and believes she is right all the time and no one can tell her otherwise. She makes the lectures so hard you have to go home and teach yourself and still study five hours a day just to get a B on her tests. She is not helpful at all and makes you feel stupid for asking questions.

Ms. Burns is very structured teacher. Her course pack is to the point and you better study! She is repetitive for a reason-take note! I found it necessary to record every lecture and I did listen to each one again. Material was difficult to grasp on some things, she encourages office hours and will help the eager to learn.

It is true, the material is difficult in general, but Burns does not do her students any favors... She is rude, abrasive, and unwilling to admit when she provides incorrect information(She conflicts herself often. The few times we had a substitute teacher, I was reminded how beneficial a skilled teacher can be to the learning process.Final Grade:B-

I really enjoyed having Dr. Burns as my professor. I was a little hesitant on take this class due to the negative ratings she has on here, but she was amazing! Yes the class was difficult, but not because of her, It's a hard class no matter who you take! She was very clear with her teachings and I passed with an A-. I would gladly take her again.

Difficult class. Felt stupid when asked or answered questions. Class time was wasted, and felt like you were teaching yourself. Rude at times, Final is cumulative and impossible to study for because all she says is study all old tests. No study guides. Grade is based off of tests. I was passing before taking final, missed passing class by 1.4%.

This class was very hard, and I failed by 1.4%. Classtime was wasted and we were teaching ourselves. When going through notes she would constantly ask if you understood and if there were any questions, but if you did ask or answer a question she made you feel stupid if you were wrong, and very rude at times. Grade mostly based on tests, No e.c.

Horrible teacher. Class time consisted of writing notes as fast as you could when she would show then to you on the overhead. Otherwise we were given a box of bones and told to figure it out while she sat there. She uses inch masking tape to try to point out tiny pieces on models and bones. When you question a answer she refuses to be wrong.

Not an easy teacher by any means. There are times in Anatomy especially, where I felt like I was teaching myself. Expect to spend A LOT of time outside of class studying and doing homework. She is a nice person though, and will offer to help if you are struggling. It helps to have a little A and P background going into this class.
