Comment:

Very clear and helpful. The class was boring so it's difficult to tell if it was Ms.Ng or not. A lot of work. Be prepared to spend a lot of time on this class. Work hard on your Lit. Review b/c that can basically turn into your term paper.

This may have been the worst class I have taken at San Jose State thus far. Unfortunately Professor Ng seemed totally unprepared for the lectures and essentially taught from the book.This class has the potential to be very interesting and instead it was somewhat boring.

This class is a good one to take if you need extra units. Attendance is not too mandatory, but sometimes the material is interesting. There is a group project that is worked on for about half the semester. She gives study guides before tests but she doesn't have a real organized way of teaching-she gets scattered alot. Definetly plays favorites!

she's very rude. She stares you down if you come late. She doesn't care if your sick or have other issues. not understanding. not approachable. but she knows the subject very well. basically she's book smart but not a people person. and grades medium.

hard grader, not an enjoyable class at all...better stay on top of your game and do your work ahead of time. If you slack off, you're screwed...a lot of work, so prepare to make A LOT of time for this class...it is a writing class, I understand, but she makes the class suck even more though. Pick a different teacher.

The class isn't hard, but its not easy either. As long as you do the work and go to class you'll be fine, but if you slack off, you're screwed. She doesn't like making special arraignments for one person and she doesn't accept ANYTHING through e-mail no matter the circumstance. She can be a little mean at times, but overall she's alright.

She's not hard...AT ALL. She always extends the due dates, ends class early, and alters the green sheet in the students favor (removes assignments or readings). She is unorganized and has no time to talk to students in office hours. Lectures are boring and uncreative.

very hard professor that does not provide written examples for her students. The class was so hard that more than half the students were failed students from last semester. I had a very depressing time in her class and would recommend NOT to take her.

Not very approachable. Her final consisted of four essays and covered way too much material. Her family history paper was pretty easy, but she is strict on grammar and will take points off for little things. I would probably not take her again.

Very unorganized never followed her scheduled lectures. When approached she didn't seem interested in helping students. Tests were easy and she gives you exact notes and things to study.

I thought she was a good teacher. She had alot of videos, some readings. Test were rather easy if you did the reading. Doesn't like to be called Mrs. Ng (thats her mother). Very easy to talk to and understanding when it comes to late papers. Take her for this class.

I agree with a previous post. She is unorganized and seemingly flustered during her lectures. She also picks on students and when you approach her it doesn't seem like she wants to help you. But other than that, she's a pretty easy grader and will basically tell you exactly how to pass her class.
