Comment:

You get what you put in to this class, but it was by far my favorite offered at City. Mr B is a total sweetheart, he is sassy at times, but put in the work and you'll be on his good side. Lots of projects, but you'll learn SO much if you put in your all. Hands on class, super interesting content, and easy A if you follow directions. Tests are hard!

Don't show up to class late. Silence your cellphone or turn it off , because if your phone goes off while he's giving a lecture, be prepared to be asked to leave. I had difficulty in the beginning understanding his hand writing when he would write on the whiteboard. Hes a great professor overall. Definitely recommend him

very very easy if you're taking crim 1 intro to crim. WARNING do not buy the textbook, there's no need just take notes. that book is like 140 bucks and i didn't even open it! the exams are easy usually 20-25 questions, the study guide is pretty much the exact same questions as the actual exams.

I LOVED THIS CLASS! This guy is so funny and the class was awesome. There wasn't any homework really, unless you did extra credit essays (they're easy--do them). He gives a study guide for every chapter which is super helpful. As long as you show up, do the study guide, and STUDY, you'll be fine. You'll definitely need the book for the study guide!

Mr. Bertolani is one of the best crim teachers there is. You must show up to class to not lose points and is a funny teacher. He doesn't use blackboard which sucks, but he does post grades on the wall in the classroom and on his office door. Each test has 20 question on it and he provides study guides that is basically the test. Only final has 40q

Doesn't know how to write clearly, when you ask him a question he looks at you like your stupid, and doesn't answer the question. He lets his TAs grade your work even when they are also students. Not recommended at alll.

Class was easy, teacher was difficult. He lost one of my assignments and I ATTEMPTED to meet with him five times, FIVE TIMES! Each time he would yell at me!When I skipped my other class to finally meet with him he didn't find it and said tough luck. Gives the questions to the test before, Xtra credit (Do it!), Tests are easy but scoring is ridiculo

He's a very good teacher i would say. Just don't be late on test days or he will embarress you in front of the whole class. His attendance lady is rude. i got dropped 2 times in his class when i was never absent! all his test questions are same exact as the study guide so study hard!

Hes okay.He can be a little bit of a douch but hes fairly easy.Test every other week and study guide with questions that are almost exactly the same.Only 20 questions each.Lots of EC available.And definitions every other week for hw. Be on time though he'll make a fool of you and his attendance girl is really rude.His lectures can be pretty boring!

A WASTE OF YOUR TIME, TAKE ANOTHER PROFESSOR IF YOU WANT TO LEARN ANYTHING MEANINGFUL. He does not articulate, thus difficult to understand during lecture. Testing is unfair (20 questions, 100 points total)therefore, if you miss a couple, your test grade will be a C average - even if you studied your butt off!!

This class is a joke. Typical dumb cop...holds everybody to a different standard then himself. Class basically consits of him rambling about current events and then practically reading straight from the book. Why even teach this...a newspaper and a book would suffice. Yells about people being late or leaving early yet never wonders why this is so

Easy. I basically did math homework while in his class. basically if you do the vocab list from the book, 5 page essay, and most of the extra credit you'll leave with a B; study a bit and you'll have an A. On his tests i averaged at low C to medium D. But i still left with a B.

He Gives the test questions a week before the test so you can find the answers. This makes his tests so easy. He uses a reader to grade the essays, don't put to much time and effort into the essays, it's hard not to get an "A" on them if they are the right length. VERY easy "A".

Wow this guy is awesome. He is entergetic and knows his stuff. I guess it helps being a retired police officer and ATF agent. Just write down the test questions and do the vocab and you'll do fine. And don't sleep or talk loudly or he will point you out.
