class once a week, he'll probably get there 20 mins late. you go out 'hikes' to see a couple rivers, creeks, ect. he talks, you listen. one easy powerpoint for a midterm is your only assignment, fun to get out of the classroom, easy A, nice guy, genuinely interested and knowledgable about harrisonburg area

I don't know. I find MR. Cook extremely sarcastic and hilarious. Talk to him personally and he can be very inspiring if you are interested in a wildlife/fishery field. You can joke with him during class and he wont care.. very laid back and awesome.

Easiest professor at this university. Class meets once a week, but you don't really have to go. Field trips happen several times during the semester. He'll cancel at least 2 classes. All you do is ONE presentation on anything you want. SO easy. Just be nice to him and pretend to be interested. Take him if you need easy credits!

this guy is SO boring! i feel bad for those that take him more than once a week. all his classes are the same and he gets confused which is which. we go on 'field trips' which are awesome for getting out of the class. he announced a test 3hrs before class thru email, but then apparently never grades them. just go to class and nap w/ your eyes open

Tons of experience but CAN NOT teach(this is becoming a common thing at JMU). If you act interested and come to class its an easy A.

Everyone keeps putting nice guy, but take the class and you'll find out he used to be a "BAD GUY." The class is possibly the most boring I've had and it's so long. He rambles on. You can take the class but be ready to fall asleep.

"There's an exam coming up." Big lie. All Cook courses are the same. No structure. Hauled us out in the cold for "field study" to yak about nothing, stick method trash. In lieu of final exam, he gave the whole class an "A" because we didn't do anything that semester to grade us on. Minimal syllabus if any. C. Nash is helping next 315 (thankfully).

This guy is a lunatic at times. I think he went to college in the late 60's, and his mind never left it, go figure that one. Big treehugger and incorporates his point a view into the discussions, and expects u to answer how he wants on tests (even though its your oponion).

Expert in Wildlife Management. Never really has a clear lesson plan, but classes are interesting anyhow. Scatter-brained teaching. A couple field trips in his classes usually. Not a Dr., a Mr.

I think he's a great teacher if your paying attention and interested in the subject. He's very helpful if you ask. He's also very informative on all species, you just have to get him talking about them (which isn't hard). Really nice guy and good class atmosphere.

Teaches same material in every course, no matter the title - Wildlife Management. Nice guy, but so ridiculously unclear that you could miss assignments entirely if you aren't careful. Impossible to get below a B.

This man somehow manages to talk all semester long, and never teach one single thing of any substance. He is so vague you will want to kill him and yourself. He's a really good evironmentalist and a nice guy, but the absolute WORST teacher ever.
