I liked the term paper. The review for the quizzes were great. The final was completely unexpected and ten times harder than the quizzes. Class attendance to understand the papers is critical. I cant imagine if I hadnt had Econ 495. Econ 395 cant possibly be enough prep.

Comment:

He posts all the readings online but if you don't want to read them just go to class. His grading scale was pretty off, a C- was 70-71. I did the bare minimum in the class, and still ended with a good mark. He is very specific about what to expect on quizzes and the final, always answers emails. Recommend him.

Class was pretty good. It's an option for the Logistics & Supply Chain Management option . Anything sort of hard is covered in class many times. Lots of classmates only show up on test days and think they can pass. Arts students are so lame.

First quiz was too easy but still have term paper to do. Course pack is li,ke a brick but don't really have to read it if you wake up and go to 8am class. Class is alwyas full.

Too many online readings and 3 term tests. The guy gives you most of the questions in advance and goes over them before the test but its still kinda hard. Term paper and final are hard. My boss says it was a good class for him so I took it too.

This class hits you like a truck at the end. One final question is 40/100 marks where you had to do a Peter Tracey style graph analysis. Except we've never done any practical examples in class so if you didn't get it, boom -40% of that 35% test. He closed D2L and internet class site before final marks were up so 55% of marks were left in limbo. :/

Don't take this class. Slide deck he has gets less comprehensive as the material progresses to the point where later lectures have no slides and are him talking so studying can be challenging later. Grading scale is trash with A- at 90-91 and B range in 80-90. C in 70s. Get 75 on the final you top out at B assuming you ace the 3 quizzes and paper.

Econ of movies class is interesting. Lot of hard readings but all covered in class and tests not really that hard if you go to class and listen. One of the better options for econ majors.
