The class is difficult, but Professor Moore is a very good teacher. He knows what he's talking about and willing to help if you ask for it. If you go to class, take good notes, and study hard, you'll do fine in his class. I really enjoyed him as a teacher.

Great teacher. Dr. Moore is so smart and knows what he is talking about...the tests are hard but if you study a lot (pull an all nighter) you will do well. He has pop quizzes that help your grade and are not difficult if you go to class and review your notes. you write papers but he is a very fair grader. TAKE HIS CLASS!

Moore was very difficult. Go to class everyday or you will miss key terms and fail all the quizzes. The tests were very difficult and pretty much impossible. Very very hard, and there were at least 5 books required to read with 5 page papers attatched to them. stay far far away!!!!

Unless if you're a history major, DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS! You will get 15-20 key words every day (which adds up to about 600 terms by the final) and will then be tested on whichever 20 or so he chooses. Plus the finals a HUGE portion of your grade. Other than that you only have 2 papers and 6 quizzes to rely on. Very hard class!

Dr. Moore is one of the best teachers I have ever had in my entire life. Yes, his voice is monotone, but the information he teaches is extremely thorough. he knows so much about history and can answer any question thoroughly. If you enjoy history you MUST TAKE MOORE!

WORST TEACHER I HAVE EVER HAD.he is rude,inconsiderate,monotone,hateful.you will have 0 tests,2 papers,1midterm and 1final.your only test grade is a combination of 6 pop quizzes which are each only 5 questions long and fill in the blank. if the answer is Andrew Johnson and you accidentally leave off the h in Johnson entire question is counted wrong

Terrible professor. Speaks very monotone and hard to keep up with during lectures. Grades papers hard and their subjects are on boring books you have to read. Would not recommend this as a freshman history class. Make going to class boring, although attendance wasn't mandatory. A lot of quizzes and midterm/ final wasn't multiple choice mostly essay

Awesome teacher! Really knows his stuff! His class can be somewhat boring at times and he can be difficult when it comes to papers, but he's still a good professor. I took him for upperlevel courses and we went on "field trips" alot.

made my first semester at college a living hell. he knows his facts, but doesnt care about the students-impossible to pass anything. he grades his papers like an english teacher. no attendance, but if you miss a class or walk in late, he'll hate you for the rest of the semester

WOW, this class sucks. What ever you do, do not take it...i repeat do not take it. It is the most boring class i have ever had. He sounds like ben stein and i have never had a class that the teacher reads the lecture word for word off of a piece of paper.

it's a pretty straight forward class. listen to lecture, take good notes, i recommend making flashcards for the key terms b/c the pop quizzes can get ya. he's sort of monotoned, but very nice. definately go talk to him if you have concerns about any grades you got or how to write your papers, he's very helpful.

I was absolutely miserable in his class. He is monotone and it is impossible to pay attention in class. The class set up looks easy to start but you have to try hard to get a good grade. My advice would be to find another teacher. Unless you just like listening to boring monotone lectures.makes himself available for help, but i was just uninspired.
