Hard course if you're looking for a non-artsy photo class like I was. Focuses less on the technical aspects and more on the 'art'. He expects a lot out of you and criticizes your work a lot, but grades easier than you'd think. Deadlines are restrictive too. Old lab equipment. Overall not too bad.

This is an awesome class and I had a blast all semester. It is difficult to get an A because it is difficult to understand what he looks for. A helpful tactic might be to defend your picture by pointing out features that you think are interesting.

It's a little difficult to figure out what he wants out of an A photograph, but he's not unreasonable in the work he wants out of his students. He's pretty knowledgable.
