Tons of materials to remember, which reminds me of the nightmare of BIOL 200 final exam

Great professor. Exam material is exactly what he tells us to study for. Easy assignments, but don't skip class, because he does examples in class that aren't covered in the online notes (the examples are amazing)! Accent takes a while to get used to. Do not skip class.

Very passionate about the topics he teaches, has an air of positivity. Very hard to understand due to his accent, but you can get used to it. Marks fairly and makes sure that everyone is aware of what to expect for midterms/finals. Shuffles around the blackboards way too much.

I've also taken 540. If you've taken that, a huge advantage. He explains everything to be used in 642, but obviously not in as much depth so you'll have to do some extra work(not much). He is very helpful, and super informed. This class broadened my horizon, and made me appreciate least squares&linear algebra more. You'll work hard, but gain too.

Grades fairly, quickly. Notes are well written. Exams are reasonable, if you work for it, you can definitely get an A. Accessible outside the class, and is passionate about his teaching: Always is on time, and sometimes a bit over. Looks unapproachable, but actually is very kind and helpful. His accent takes a month getting used to.

Chang is a very good professor. His notes online are extremely clear as well. His accent can be tough to understand at times, but if you have the notes in front of you it shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you attend class (where he gives many examples) and do the assignments the class is not all that difficult in the end.

Always open to students and really helpful professor. Has an accent but very easy to get used to. Course itself has a lot of material but he really manages them well. His notes is absolutely wonderful and trust me, know it well because the final questions are all coming from it.

Absolutely incomprehensible. Go to class and see if you can understand what he's saying. If not, drop the course. He gives some of the worst written notes I've ever seen, so if his accent is too much for you (and it probably will be), I'd avoid taking his class.

Nice guy and tries hard. Could be slightly confusing with his accent. Tests were moderately easy.

Class can be "slightly" boring but this is probably the easiest comp class I've taken. Just don't skip class, cause he gives examples that later come on the midterm and final.

The course material is a bit easy for a graduate student. However, the organization of course is clear and easy to understand, but I expect a harder course at graduate level.

Lectures are a waste of time because of his lack of English skills, but his online notes are good. He is also hard to access after/outside of class.

The one class that taught me the value of having a prof who doesn't have a speech impediment. You'll spend most of your time learning on your own as trying to understand anything in class becomes a gut wrenching chore.

The material for this class is relatively hard, and his course notes don't make it any easier. Hard to understand in class (accent, yeouch!), but does go through the notes and explains concepts thoroughly on the board. Just don't skip class. Exams aren't exactly easy either.
