Class isn't too hard: one midterm, and a non-cummulative final, and several homeworks and open notes quizzes. Lectures and long and loaded with content though. Ask him questions if you need clarification, he's willing to help. Labs on assembly lang can be confusing, but TA helps a lot.

Lacks clarity in his lectures, often shouting to grab the students attention. Repeats content when lecture hours are long. Both exams are easy if you understand the material. Expect at least six quizzes. TA expects you to be able to do the labs by yourself (they are easy, although most students have issues with the assembly programming).

He is the 3rd best professor on my list :) I am glad I took his class. The course is difficult, but when I appeared for a job interview recently, I realised my concepts were clear. Thanks to him.

The professor was, at times, not clear at all. He goes too fast. He erases all of his lecture notes quickly. You must keep up as he goes. Most importantly, be aware of his quizzes which are very challenging. A lot of quizzes, projects and HW. I swear I was failing throughout the semester, but he gives a HUGE curve. Great professor and very challenging. Take for COSC 600.

Mixed feelings. Dr Kim is an awesome funny man, but his tests are hard. thankfully, you have homework and attendance to help you. The labs started out easy but got super difficult since we didn't learn assembly language and the TA wasn't clear (but he was also nice and lenient). Just do all your work and study as much as you can for tests

unnecessarily hard...it spoils students mentality to learn.....if you study hard you might get B and if you don't study at all you might get B also....as nothing comes from his homeworks...not good...

This professor is ridiculously difficult. The questions in his quizzes and exams are for the most part confusing for the sake of being tough. He moves way to quickly through complex topics. His answers to questions from students are usually just as vague as original explanation. His only redeeming factor is the crazy grading curve. 65 = A?

Great professor. Lectures are excellent...You will understand the material if you attend and listen. Gives pop quizzes, but these are helpful since it lets you gauge how well you are comprehending the material. Ask questions if you do not understand something (Prof. Kim is very helpful). Overall, a superb class...You will learn a lot!

Dr. Kim is a very fine and very demanding teacher. Course is a lot of work. Dr. Kim is now head of department; so he is no longer easily available; a graduate assistant would be helpful. Wish he would slow down some; sometimes notes on blackboard are erased before I've had a chance to take notes. Nevertheless, course is exceptionally rewarding.

The homework does very little to help with understanding the material. The average grade for the midterm was in the 50's. He curves the grades so it doesn't look odd that no one passed his class. He's actually a really funny and entertaining guy, but his teaching methods apparently do not work. Disappointing.

Wow, what a disappointment!! I finally made it to Grad school at Towson, and the teacher treats us like crap. He had students change seats (twice) prior to the mid-term and he paced around the room to guard against cheating. I am looking at transferring because I have heard this nonsense doesn't happen at real Graduate programs.

This is my last class/professor before I graduate and it is a major disappointment. He never returns your homework or quizes and he never is available during his posted office hours. Don't expect any help from him because he is too busy doing other important stuff.

A fantastic, knowledgeable, funny, and down-to-earth professor. He knows how to have fun, and knows the material is hard, so he stresses students to study. He explains material better than many other teachers have, and makes it interesting with funny examples. Tells funny stories. Hard material, amazing teacher.
