Comment:

I took him for an 8-week flex term. To me, it was easy because he was clear in examples and explaining things. Also, you can have your laptop out and follow along with the powerpoint. There were 3 tests (30% each), homework (a lot) 15%, and the final is 25%. He let us write down equations on notecards to use during exams. Easy grade if you commit.

I am normally good a math anyways but for the first time I was so confused in his math course. He reads straight from a powerpiont and does not explain the work progress. He goes on with solving a problem and pulls random steps and formulas and never explains the process. You are going to basically teach yourself instead.

Comment:

Best Math teacher I've had at Eastfield. Although, he has an accent if you attend class regularly you'll be ok. He teaches how to do the problems by hand, but also explains how to find the answers via calculator. If you don't attend the class you will not pass, but if you have any questions he will answer them 10x over. Great caring person.

I just took Calc I with Yefim and I am conflicted. I am an engineering major so I think I should have learned a little bit more than I did, but I also took this class in 5 weeks so it Was very rushed. The tests are comically easy if you do the review, and he allows note cards on the tests which help a lot, he also curves test very well.

He has a VERY heavy accent that I can't even understand. Tests are worth the majority of your grade and there are normally 25 questions per test, including the final. Homework is online and worth only like twenty percent of your grade. One thing I found annoying was that he talks a lot DURING tests! He also will give instructions that are confusing

Great teacher. Has an accent, but is totally understandable. The homework is not due until the very last day of class. His lessons are thorough, and yes he does use powerpoint, but nevertheless you will learn from him. He allowed notecards on final. He gives exam reviews before each test and gives a curve. This man wants to see you pass!

He has an accent, but is understandable. MML hw is due at end of semester. So make sure to not wait until end of semester to finish it. he gives a curve. his tests are multiple choice! he is a really nice guy and wants to see you pass. TAKE HIM. He gives step by step instruction on problems. only down is he reads from powerpoint, but does examples.

Took in summer. Has accent, but not that bad. He is not clear when teaching bc really fast. students said they were confused. replaces 1 exam with final exam grade if better. allows 2 notecards on exams. multiple choice on tests. have to study, as with any math class. not clear but i would take again bc willing to answer any question.

Took him for college algebra. Go to every class, study for test they are not that hard. Work on HW. He will substitute low test grade, re do 1 test. What more can you ask for in math?He was really helpful if he sees you actually care about class. He does go too fast in notes, he knows it all very good. I did NOT think I was passing but I got a B.

Shnayderman is a mathematical genius. Ask any question & he will answer it. He's extremely helpful & works in the Math Spot for additional tutoring. I took him during the summer, so there were times he had to speed through lectures, which sucked, but long as you take class in fall/spring you'll be fine. Be ready to learn day 1 and don't get behind.

Very smart man. His accent is not as bad as some say. He's actually kind of funny. Class is pretty easy as long as you try. Always show up but honestly i didnt half the time and still scored high.

I took his self paced course and I definitely recommend him. It was a lot of work but his knowledge about math is excellent. He was very helpful and most times he was available at the LAC to help anyone who was in need of extra tutoring. The homework consumes at least 5-8 hours a week.

I'm an engineering major and this is the second time I have taken trig. Shnayderman was extremely informative and helpful. He is also a math tutor, so he understands all levels of learning math. when you get past the accent he is really good at teaching math if you pay attention to the reviews and do the homework you will get an easy A.

I did not pay attention in class at all!!I could not understand him through his heavy accent!!but MyMathLab did help and if you study his study guides for the tests you will pass!he gives you partial credit if you show work. I did not study for two of his tests and I made an 85 on both.I'm not that great at math I just used my calculator on tests!
