Be prepared to learn mostly from reading the textbook and MyEconLab! MyEconLab notes provided in chapter resource section are a life saver! Didn't learn from her lectures and found that she didn't cover most of what is covered on MyEconLab/tests. Fell behind in course and at the end of the semester she taught like 4 chapters in 2 days..

Yolina is really nice, however her classes can be a bit dull and her and sometimes aren't relevant to the MyEcon quizzes. Midterm's aren't too difficult as long as you study. Watch ACDC Economics on youtube for an easy pass

Yolina is a fine lecturer, although a bit boring. However her posted study guides and reviews will contain the wrong chapters, and when confronted about this she just said "Oh that's because it's different some times." This completely destroys the purpose of the study guide. In addition, her answer keys frequently have errors in them.

Just reads out of the textbook during lectures, completely useless. You may as well save 4 hours of your life every week and not attend her class, you're on your own as far as learning anyway.

Horrible. In class lectures are completely not relevant to MyEconLab and midterms/finals. In class all she talks about is concepts, once you attempt a real question from the textbook you are completely on your own. Very frustrating.

Makes a complicated subject incredibly easy to understand and enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone interested in Economics. If you do poorly in one of her classes, it's most likely because you didn't show up to her classes where she gives the best notes known to mankind.

Yolina made me love economics from low interest prior to the class. She is very clear, very patient, & a balanced marker. Do come to class and take good notes. She is very logical and organized with her presentation. She is good natured and easy to respect and is respectful of her students. I would take another course with her in a heartbeat.

Yolina is the economics chair at Camosun. She is very friendly and seems genuinely interested in her students - I would go to ask her a question and we would end up have a 20 minute discussion about an economic topic in the news. Consistently late for class (min. 5 mins). Extremely easy marker - you just have to be close to the right answer.

fantastic professor. she explain concept with easy language and real world example. textbook was dry specially in related to mathematics concept and therefore hard to learn from but her lectures made the mathematics easy to understand. However, the case study in the text made concert the concept.she relates to the real world of past and current.

All of her materials come from the powerpoint, so it would be fine if you miss the classes. The main problem is that she doesnt give you any questions to practice. Only the questions you did on assignment, but she wont give you the answer, just barely explain in class. so it is hard to study. Only reading the testbook cannot get A.

great teacher. I had no problem understander her. textbook was very dry and therefore hard to learn from but her lectures made perfect sense. relates problems to real life and uses examples of current events to keep it interesting. doesnt use PP actually writes notes! useful to add more detail to your own notes as she talks more than writes. The best econ teacher at the college by far. The text is helpful to reference but the notes are very similar which is helpful for the exams. She breaks the course into three exams which is very helpful. My only wish is that she taught 203 too.

The vast majority of my grade was based on attendance or group work which was not appropriate given the nature of the subject. Furthermore on the final exam I asked her for the answer to a question and she told me. I don't think you are supposed to do that. (No joke) I would avoid her class at all cost. You can't get those hours back.

Econ 205 is rather elementary and extremely boring. Yolina basically just reads the textbook. Her accent is by no means incomprehensible.
