Comment:

Yvonne Hann was my favourite prof for my first semester at MUN. She is very understanding and reasonable and quite the laugh at class. This course is very easy to comprehend and she will tell you exactly what she expects from your work. Overall a great prof and great course, would highly recommend.

She's an absolutely amazing professor! She does often go off on tangents however they are always related to the course material. She assigns very little reading compared to other professors in 1090.... I would FULLY recommend her (and already have)

Yvonne is a very kind person who is very knowledgeable. However, during lectures she will often go off on completely irrelevant tangents that waste much of the lecture time and can be quite boring. On the up side she is a very fair grader.

You can skip class, but if you don't like to read go to class and she'll do the reading. Gives great feedback, talks a lot during class and goes off topic trying to make a point but she keeps it funny. A bit dull, but easy to pass.

Dr. Hann is honestly a phenomenal prof! If you pay attention, does what she asks of you and put in the effort then you should be successful. She isn't going to hand out a mark you don't deserve, but makes it easy to be successful. She provides students with amazing feedback! I truly enjoyed her lectures and all the stories she shared with us! 10/10

Lectures cover the entirety of the books we study, and she repeats key points a lot and puts in additional information that help with understanding the texts. It's definitely worth going to class, as she tells more information than she outs online.

Boring off topic lectures. Don't take her hour and fifteen classes it is actually hell. If you don't know every single use of the comma you're not going to get an A. she's unclear in what she wants from you writing wise, you will not get anything close to the grades you received in high school english.

I heard she was a great prof until I had her. If you like bad comedy and lots of rambling then I suggest her. She gets off topic way too much SO you must really pay attention or you yourself will get lost. Yvonne will talk about one thing one minute and then she's going on about something so irrelevant to the topic next minute.

She inspired me. She is hilarious and very friendly. I'm not a native speaker , so I find it a bit difficult to write essays. She helps me a lot and spends a lot of time explaining stuff to me. I honestly feel that my writing has improved throughout this course and owe this to the feedback she always give me to improve my style.

Dr. Hann is a great professor! She knows what she's talking about, and can sometimes get off topic but it's nice because she isn't drilling information into her student's heads. I found her to be a fair grader, as long as you put in the effort in your assessments. The novels she picked are great too, my childhood favourites actually!

I loved Hann! Excellent prof, I had her for 1080 and then again for 1110. She was definitely one of of my favourite profs in my first year. She can ramble sometimes, but does get to the point eventually. She is very approachable outside of class and makes it very clear exactly what she expects from students. She's also hilarious! Highly recommend.

Great prof!! Going to her classes is a lot of help as she explains everything in detail and they are never boring. She's a fair marker and the workload is very fair. Her notes are posted online but going to class would be much more helpful. Would definitely recommend her for ENGL 1080!!

Dr. Hann is absolutely hilarious, and on top of that an awesome prof! If you attend all lectures then the material on tests and exams shouldn't come as a surprise to you as she basically gives you the topics. She's very friendly and I would definitely recommend. (Plus her hatred of the Hobbit movies gives me life, honestly)

Dr. Hann is a great prof! She knows what she's talking about and makes classes interesting with her tangents and jokes. She gives pretty good feedback, though her grading is pretty tough. I'm taking 1110 with her next semester, and moved another class so I could have her again. If you go to class you'll know exactly what to expect on the exams!

My favorite prof so far. I absolutely love Dr. Hann and her tangents. She gets slightly off topic some times but it's really refreshing and you don't lose much time to it in class. She knows the perfect amount. It's not a very hard course to pass, I don't think, and there's very little homework. Seriously, if you get the chance, get Y Hann.
