Really genuine person does his best to install enthusiasm for the subject. Class difficulty depends on how familiar you are with OOP. Not super hard to pass but will need to work to get high marks. Hilarious which in this subject area is definitely welcome.

He expects you to know Java before taking this class which is ridiculous. His midterms completely screw you over, doesn't show any examples or use slides. One of the worst professors I've had in terms of teaching. You literally have to teach yourself everything if you want to try passing this class with him.

Intelligent prof, explains the material clearly and effectively. Beyond teaching the material he focused on teaching how to write good code and how to be a good programmer. Assignments were tricky and lengthy but reasonable. Midterms and final were fairly straightforward but you had to work fast to finish in time. Excellent prof, would take again.

Dr. Kobti's is awesome! I have friends who come to his lectures for fun, he is just that entertaining. He is enthusiastic and it shows. He is very fair, and very helpful. He really knows his stuff too. Take any course you can with him! You won't regret it!

Way too excited about the material and is horrible at explaining things. I basically had to teach myself. This class is difficult because he expects that you have programmed in C before, even though it is an intro course and doesn't even give examples for the programs. Be sure to do all the labs to even have a clue whats going on.

Class is not mandatory, slides are right out of the book literally. Gives exam hints in class. Talks a lot about his experience, if you're not interested then its brutal to sit through, but otherwise he goes through the slides, sometimes has to speed up at click a bunch of slides cause time ran out. Have to go to class for asgnmt details.

At first, he acted too full of himself. Really didn't seem to care about students, and make the class really tough. However, after almost everyone did really bad on the first midterm, he got a wake up call. His teaching got noticably better and he seemed to care more about the students.

You're a donkey if you can't pass his class with reasonable effort. Assignments were *difficult* at most, ACM-ish, 6 hours tops time spent on an assignment, had him for 275 thats a good class too, the class is all ACM questions and he gives a good introduction into problems, like integer limitations and problem solving skills, like real world use.
