Comment:

One of the smartest, most brilliant professors I have ever had. She really knows her stuff :) She makes the class interesting, all the homework is online, which makes it so much easier on the student. Everything she wants is on the syllabus, so it is not confusing at all! Tests are pretty tough, but you can use notes and text books! I loved her!:)

Comment:

Her lectures are very boring and she just complains the whole time about how no one read the book. The good thing is, that if you can survive going to the lectures the class is an easy A. Just turn in the work on time, and you will get 90% or higher.

This class was difficult as Zohreh is very opinionated. If your opinions do not match hers, she tends to say so. Not always factual during her lectures when opinions come into play- cited sources that were incorrect regarding politicians. She was unclear about her assignments & policy which resulted in our class misunderstanding & losing points.

One of my favorite classes this semester. The content of the course is straight from the book. If you read the chapters as assigned and do the weekly writing assignments, you will pass. Take notes on the chapters; she likes when you come to class prepared & know the material. There are three online tests, and you can use the book & your notes.

Comment:

Loved the online class and how she rephrases masculine paradigms. (Rephrasing man for "human" as it "is a s*xist statement.")Her asnmts, lectures and powerpoints clearly show what information was important and relevant for course objectives.

3 exams total- gives you 30 review questions from each chapter, 10 of which are on each exam. Exams online which help because you can easily cheat by looking at your notes and book. Do the reviews!!! Find answers exact words from the book, you shouldn't have too big a problem.. although all in all i did not enjoy her one bit.

She is the worst teacher I have ever had. She doesn't help you out of class. She relies on you to read your text book and learn out of that. In class she literally will shove her opinions down your throat and if you don't agree with her she will down grade you. Her tests are unreasonably hard. Don't take her.

I had the misfortune of having this woman for 2 different classes. AWFUL!!! She is inept. She can barely form sentences and all of her directions are completely unclear, yet she is a tough grader despite this fact. There are about 6 textbooks for each class and she regularly expects you to read 150 pages each week for each class. DO NOT TAKE HER!!!

Assignments can be unclear and labels are often wrong or the descriptions are wrong. For example, had 2 "Assignment #2" options, one for Chapter 2 and one for Chapter 3- we were never assigned to read Chapter 2. Overall a fair grader and gave us study guides then used those on the tests.

Well, first of all, she posted a syllabusclass schedule from the previous semester, so the dates were wrong. She did not fix it for two weeks. Plus, they were written in broken English. It doesn't seem like she actually read anything I wrote, though. So, I guess just turn something in for every assignment and you'll probably get an A.

Word of caution, if you go to talk to her about a paper outline and she helps you draw one out, your grade may say "This paper has nothing to do with this class" I wrote my paper based on the outline we created together, and apparently she didn't like her own outline. Wouldn't take this class if I were you.

Zohreh can be hard to understand sometimes, but if you read the book you'll be fine. All assignments and exams are online (3 exams total, no final). Lectures are boring. She takes attendance, but there's no part of your grade that requires attendance. Easy A and she's nice for the most part. Participate in class discussions.

She's pretty unapproachable but her class is pretty easy as long as you do the work. We had to do weekly writing assignments (answering 5 questions) & discussions which were annoying & two 3 page papers. Attendance is also required which sucked because the class was so boring. As long as you participate in class, she'll like you. Tests are online.

Class consists of A LOT of work: weekly responses and discussion. However, these aren't graded too harshly. An hour or so of work is all it takes every week. Exams are just four essays, and there is one big research paper due at the end. Again, a lot of work but graded pretty generously.

Even if you need credits for the semester, do not take this professor. Her ability to teach is non-existant. She has weekly assingments which are ok but be prepared to only read the book. Gave me a zero on the second exam with zero explanation after asking repeatedly. Insults students as well. She is a nightmare, do not take her.

She is hard to understand at first, but a REALLY nice woman. The class itself is so boring, but she does her best, I think. All tests are online, which is really nice, so you can you notes (or a friend). And you receive easy points for discussions and attendance. I would recommend her for sure.

SHE WAS HORRIBLE! She doesn't make sense in class because her English is way off and even her questions on the tests don't make sense if she's written them herself! If attendance wasn't mandatory I would have never gone the lectures were absolutely useless. DO NOT TAKE HER!
