Dr. Hino is the nicest professor you could ask for! If you're looking for a good GPS 120 professor, look no further. Most of these reviews are from people who simply dislike history and have no reflection on Hino whatsoever. Show up, pay attention, take notes, and make Quizlets for the exams, and you can easily get an A. 10/10

Comment:

I don't know why Hino's rating is so low. He's an excellent professor! He is so knowledgable in history and so intelligent. I'm always impressed by how he knows exact dates from memory. He is extremely willing to work with you. There is lots of extra credit and he always takes late work. He is one of the nicest history professors I have ever taken.

Comment:

Dr. Hino is an excellent professor. The low ratings on this professor are from first year students, required to take a history cours who do not appreciate Dr. Hino's teaching style. As a history professor, many do not understand how history is taught. I recommend this professor to those who wish to learn much of African and Middle Eastern history.

I really don't know why people hate on Dr Hino. I think it's perhaps young freshman taking the GPS 120 classes and not knowing what it takes to be a good college student. He asks for input all the time so its not for a lack of trying on his part. His lectures are very informative and he is extremely knowledgeable on his subject matter, stop hating.

He's easy in the aspect that he gives you the notes...just memorize for the quizzes. He's not reliable on grading though...I had a high A in the class and somehow came out with a B overall...you just have to stay on him and bug him with your grades, cause 99% of the time, you're right and he's not
