Sweet guy. EASY class. No homework, lectures can be a bit slow. Tests are EASY short essay, each pertinient fact you give is a point, all you have to do is study, he tells you the topics he may ask about! 10 page paper at end. I got 100% on all work both classes I took with him. Wants all to do well, some students take advantage & act like fools!

If you have an honest interest in Black Studies DONOT take this class. He has no control over his class, he is extremely un helpful, could careless if you understand concepts, his teaching style is basically regurgatating what you already read and is very difficult to understand. The class is a joke.

This man is such a sweet elderly man. Just don't talk when he does or when someone else raises their hand because it really irritates him. The class moves REALLY slowly, but it's still very interesting. When you do the readings, take notes so you can participate in discussions. He hates non-participation. Good class.

Essay Tests are challenging, although he grades on a curve. Total of 4 essay tests, a 10pg autobiography, and 10pg biography, is all that is required. He talks very slow and discussed the syllabus for the first 4 classes. Once he starts actually teaching, it gets better.

Older gentleman so a little slow, but just read the text and take notes in class and it's cake. He's very nice and doesn't demand a lot, but respects you when you respect him.
