Interesting lectures, youll have to pay attention to understand most of the material. Assigns quite a few essays but theyre only ever a few paragraphs. Some of them are reading based and others are based off of content gone over in class. Hes a nice guy and gives good feedback, and seems to actually care about his students.

I had Dr. Witonsky for Intro to Philosophy and it was a pretty great class. He's a cool guy and talks about thought provoking subjects, even if you're not too interested in philosophy. Class work was alright - had to write a few paragraph long papers about different topics we talked about in class, and took easy group quizzes. Definitely recommend.

I had Dr. Witonsky for online Philosophy of Mind. The course was extremely interesting and thought-provoking! For it being an online class, the amount of work assigned each week was fair. If you keep an open mind while examining the philosophical arguments, you'll take a lot away from the class. Truly one of the best professors I've ever taken!

I took intro to phil, and we wrote a bunch of short essays which were not too difficult. I think he grades leniently. The course material was also really interesting- definitely take this class if you've ever thought about philosophy at all! Professor Witonsky's lectures were also really great, and there was almost never a dull moment in class!

Cool dude, just wants you to be interactive in the course. Almost every class was a full lecture, sometimes we watched Black Mirror or other videos for a full class. You can get away with not showing up a few times. Only 2 exams, 1 paper at the end-- he grades lightly, as long as you know the jist of what's going on in the class you will pass.

Took him for honors intro to philo. Not every interested on the subject (still not) but the class isn't hard at all. Expect to read a lot of papers and take group quizzes on them. Also, you have to write about 5-6 papers but the topics aren't that bad if you do the readings and listen in class. Pretty easy A. No textbook needed.

Took him for philosophy of mind writing intensive. Instead of one long paper, cuts it up into 5/6 short papers (800-1000 words). Lectures can be confusing at times, but really tries his best to get your to understand the material. Funny guy but challenges you to think hard. Very passionate about his job.

I took him for an honors course and by the way he talked it seemed like he treated us differently than his normal classes. Overall I loved the class. There was not very much work and the work we did do he graded easily. The class was interesting and thought provoking. Take him!!

He talks A LOT but it's only an hour and a half class. Quizzes are simple if you review the FEW notes that he gives. Can be a confusing subject ex: believe vs. know. Otherwise, easy.

Very, very good at explaining things that are difficult to explain. I could him to be a fairly easy grader as long as he could tell that you were trying. Class is very discussion oriented, which is a nice break from lectures. Kept bugging me to switch my major to philosophy. Because of his class Im thinking about minoring in phil. Overall good prof

He's extremely hard. I do not recommend taking him. He doesn't really explain much and if you aren't a pro at Philosophy then you should def. not take him. You have two hard tests and a huge paper on a chapter in your book. The final is optional though but he is really hard and it was def. my worst class

I have a lot of respect for him. Not many teachers in my life actually have me to think of what I say or how I think. If your the kind of person who likes to think a lot of things around you and yourself then I say his class is the best choice for you.

He goes into a lot of detail and goes back to everything more then once. He lets you take test in groups so you be able to do good. The final is the only thing you can't take in a group but the final is based on the first 2 exams so if you apply yourself then you should do fine. He's a good guy, very smart and passionate about Philosophy.

I did not like him at all. I took him for introduction to philosophy and he was hard. Some people succeeded but I did not because I am not an expert at philosophy nor am I in love with it. He actually made me hate philosophy. I wouldn't recommend taking him because hes hard. You also have to write a big paper on a chapter of a philosophy book. ugh.

Prof. Witonsky is SO cool. You'll get involved in this class by studying different arguments and deciding whether or not they make any sense. He'll challenge your viewpoints no matter what they are, but it's to make you a better thinker and he never makes you feel bad or stupid, just makes you want to try harder. TAKE THIS GUY'S CLASS.

He is a very good professor. He makes classes very interesting and his lectures are clear. If you have any interest in philosophy, you will love his class. If you don't like his class at all, philosophy is probably not your thing. My only complaint was that we had to submit essays (250-350 words) every Sunday at 1:45PM which was a bit annoying.
