He's not teaching anymore, but I liked how his lectures and exams were very straightforward. He didn't try to trick the class, but we still learned all the reactions we needed. Tunisian accent is charming. He encouraged us to ask questions. Unfortunately, he was never in his office last summer! I hope other O. Chem professors who lecture like him.

He can actually keep you interested for the whole lecture, which is very helpful. The tests are completely off of lecture notes and old midterms which he posts. It doesn't matter how you do on the finals, if you do well on the final, he'll probably give you that grade.

Awesome preofessor. Not only is his class managable, but you also learn a lot, unlike Whitesell's 140A. Take good notes, review his practice exams and you should be fine. Also, don't freak out if you do bad on the 1st midterm because the curve in the class is pretty generous

Prof. Nefzi is a boss. I say this not because this class was a breeze... but b/c this man knows his stuff and wants all of his students to do well. He will thoroughly go over concept after concept until everyone understands. I got owned on the first midterm, was really worried... kept at it and just understood lecture material. turned out fine.

well, yes, he is easy, but don't even think of getting any good grade without studying for his class, people do get B and C. I didn't like him at first because I thought he wouldn't prepare me for 140C but what the heck? he taught everything in the book, just to make it more understandable. Dr. Nefzi is amazing. My biggest mistake was studying from the book the first half of the quarter. You don't need the book for his class, he teaches you everything he wants you to know, don't make it harder on yourself. Plus he's funny :)

the BEST ochem professor i've ever had. Yes, he does have an accent but you'll get used to it . Very straightforward exams. I love how he teaches by the mechamisms. You can NEVER learn ochem without mastering the mechanisms. Low exam avg? oh come on. it's ochem. If you put enough effort, you'll survive it. 7pm lecture? i made it to all of them.

Best teacher I've ever had at UCSD. Hilarious professor (if you get his sense of humor) and very straightforward. You almost don't need to read the book at all. Just go to class and study and you'll ace this class no problem.
