Easily one of the worst Professors I've ever had. An unbelievably tough grader. If you struggle with math i would stay FAR away from this teacher. Notes typically do not make sense/ do not help with any tests/quizzes/projects. She is such a sweet woman but should not be teaching this class!!

Comment:

Adele Maffey was a moody and sometimes antagonizing teacher. She expected you to know the materials when she never explained how she got the answer to a problem. I wouldn't recommend her if you are need a hands on, patient teacher. Granted she gave extra credit for tests, like the other review said, the test didn't reflect the review. No go!

This prof. is whacked! She speaks at you, not teach you. She writes a problem then the answer w/o telling you how she got it. When you ask her to clarify or explain, she gives you this look as to say "really". We just had our first test and none of the anticipated questions were on there.

She's a lovely teacher who truly cares about her student's success. She was ALWAYS there to help when I froze or got stuck on a problem. Again, EXTREMELY helpful, totally forgiving with points and grading. BUT, you need to show you are serious about learning! She helps students who WANT to be there, but doesn't waste time on those who don't care!

You have to want to learn the material, I went from failing the class to passing with a B. She was extremely helpful when I needed help. Sometimes it is hard to understand what she teaches, but if you go to her after class she will help you. Use the professor thats what she is there for

No one could ask for a better professor. She truly cares about the success of her students and will work with you. Class started at 5:30pm and she was always in the classroom by 4:00 working with students who wanted her help.

She is adorable. At first I thought this class was tough but if you do and understand all the questions on the test review packet it is cake. the test comes right from it.. i even missed 2 weeks due to illness and got a B. Couldve gotten an A if i the the review for the 1st test

Sweet teacher but can't communicate. Does not spend time on topics. You can't really "learn" from her. Class started with about 30 students and ended with about 12 so you can get the idea. But she helps when you ask her.

Overall, a very horrible teacher. She stutters and mumbles half of the lecture and doesn't know how to communicate to her students. Tried to teach a whole section of trig in less than a weeks time. Very unclear. She should go back to teaching high school students. Do not take her class whatever subject it may be.

Class is not easy but very interesting. I did all the homework, spent hours in lab with the solution manual. She is very helpful if you asking and gives extra credit quizzes to help you elevate your grade. Need some knowledge in math, trig and common sense.

Very nice and easy-going. I switched into her class 3 classes into the semester, and she was very good about getting me caught up. Knows what she is doing and very clear. Good teacher.
