Comment:
Easy class if you attend the lectures, & manageable weekly extra cred. Textbook is 50% non-science, 50% fact. The author tries hard to appear as a chemist, which is useless for the context of the class: Nutrition. Attend lectures, as there will be test questions like: "According to the lecture, ?".

She is such a nice woman. She made class very enjoyable with her littler jokes but the material can be so overwhelming. Her exams are challenging but if you study you'll do fine. I'd have to say the worst part of her class is the cumulative final. Take this course online (no cumulative final) unless you want to devote your life for an A.

The book is VERY important. A lot of what she emphasizes in lecture is not on the test..she will go into great detail about certain things like the GI tract but on the test will be general questions. I would attend class because it is helpful besides reading the book alone. She offers 10 E.C. opportunities DO THEM ALL!

Nice lady, okay professor. She makes the material easy to understand, but the exams can be tedious. She incorporates stupid details into exams, so make sure you study everything! overall not a hard class. she offers a lot of extra credit which is really nice.

Shes a great prof, really knows her stuff. If you go to class, and work at it you can ace this class. She has 10 extra credits, do AS MANY as possible, they really help. If you make an appointment with her during office hours shell let you see the right answers to old tests, helpful bc final is cumulative.

She taught from the textbook. Her exams are pretty straight forward 50ques. multiple choice, but questions do get tricky. Recommended to go to class because she shortens the textbook into a summary but you still need the book to study for exams. she is a boring lecturer and her office hours are only by appointment which is the only downer.

The material for this class is interesting but her class is sooooooo boring...I jus wanted to shoot my self...the test questions was so random...and the third exam is very hard..but if you do all the extra credit you should be fine...I received an A for the course...But I hated going to her class...If you have the option take it in the fall...

She is very helpful, has a student from prior years to help you. She gives 50 points extra credit and drops the lowest test score. Extremely hard to stay focused in class but make sure you do cause her exam questions are tricky and come from her lectures and book. Exams extremely tricky but do all extra credit and you can do fine. I recieved an A.

I thought she was a great teacher. Very organized and always cheery. It's a lot of material each lecture, but she does a great job presenting it. Just stay on top of it, and you'll do well. She drops the lowest test grade, and give plenty of extra credit.

Do every extra credit - 50+ points in the bank. Take tests 1 and 2 SERIOUSLY, test 3 is a bit long winded and she might get injured or something and not be able to satisfy your needs - She drops the lowest test grade! Test 1+2 are the best chances you've got! Buy the book and take notes. A damn shame she doesn't offer powerpoints like Tangel =/

Yes, she's a nice professor & she responds well to her students, BUT she missed about 5 lectures (due to a foot injury). I felt like I had to teach myself this semester. (Reading the book didn't really help me on her tests. She doesn't make them easy. Class average was a C.) If she didn't offer 50 extra credit points, I would say don't take her.

The exams are so so easy. Definitely go to class and fill out the packets she gives you, because every single question on the exams come directly from those packets. It's easy to get an A in the class as long as you study the packets. The final paper you have to do is annoying, but as long as you do well on the exams you don't have to worry.

Sherman is a pretty thorough professor. She is willing to answer any questions you have during class and office hours. Offers plenty of extra credit. She lectures for most of the class, but if you pay attention, you won't have to crack your book open. Exams are somewhat difficult, but if you know the material, you will do well.

Sherman is great! She gives tons of extra credit assignments (we have already had 5 ec. assignments for a total of 25 points after only 8 weeks so far) and drops your lowest test grade. She is also very concise and explains things well, and tells you what you need to know to do well. This class is also very interesting.

She isn't that bad of a proffessor. She teaches the material pretty well and she is nice. Her exams aren't that bad if you read in conjunction with taking notes from the lecture. However, If you are taking this class for reasons other than the major or you do not have an interest in it you probably will have a hard time in it
