Smart man, potential to be a really good teacher, but really drops the ball at times. Point form slides are hard to follow. Lecture pace very fast and he expects you to write down additional things he says that arent on the slides. Unwilling to admit his mistakes. Wastes huge amounts of time spouting off about cell phones which is very distracting

Patho isnt what everyone makes it out to be. Second year is difficult, patho is difficult, but the most enjoyable class. You have to work for the grade you want. Pay attention to lectures and write down every single thing he says because thats how he writes exams. Dont think you can skip class and review the textbook. It wont get you very far.

Great teacher who is very invested in your learning. He comes across as a mean sometimes but I think it's because he really wants you to succeed in his class. REVIEW THE PHYSIOLOGY! DO YOUR RECALL CHECKS! Its a tough class that takes a lot of studying but one of the most useful subjects in nursing.

Ahmed is a brilliant prof, w. a deep grasp of content and maintains a thorough and effective teaching style. He anticipates student comments and only accepts very particular responses. Be warned. His assessments land in the uncomfortable zone between unreasonable/ impossible & are discouraging. He has scripted reasons to discredit complaints. G/L!

Highly respected. Do not skip class! What he says in class will be on the test. NO CELLPHONES. DO study the self studies. Really understand the foundational concepts for the tests. Try and get a good grade on the midterm, as the final was much tougher. Some people advise not to buy the text, but IMO it's the diff between a pass and a good grade.

Ahmed is amazing. I finally feel challenged in a post secondary class. Lectures are clear and concise, but make sure that you write everything he says down! Do as he instructs you regarding how to study, when to do assignments, etc. and you'll be fine. The effort you put in the class will be the grade you get out of it. Exceptional instructor!

A good teacher who wants his students to do well. Can sometimes over-generalize when discussing certain diseases, but given the time constraints of class, he really can't get into the nitty-gritty of each aspect of each disease. NO CELL PHONES!!!!

I very much enjoyed having Ahmed as my patho teacher. He explains concepts clearly and lays out class material well. Has a spicy sense of humour some days, which lightens the class mood. No cell phones! Not even on vibe!

Ahmed is a great! Although the material is a lot to learn, he makes his teaching format clear and organized. Ahmed is incredibly knowledgeable, with an odd sense of humour which all shows during class discussion. He really does try to make his students successful, and the exams are fair. DO NOT bring your cell phone to class. You've been warned.

In a program (BSN) where the curriculum is often contradictory and disorganized, and the staff often given to bickering amongst each other, Ahmed's organization, clear goals and wonderful teaching style was a breath of minty-fresh air!
