Its a pretty simple class, and Als passionate on the subject. Hes okay, but gets upset over staple-less staplers if that helps you understand his personality at all.

Al was a nice guy, and has a really dry sense of humor. Very responsive to email and willing to help after class. The class wasn't too hard though he's a tougher grader on the papers. Do the work and you'll pass.

Good teacher. Discussion posts every week along with a quiz. One paper in second half of semester. Midterm and final are MC, matching, and essay.

Very chill professor. Some say he is boring but you have to be involved in class discussion to get something out of it. Easy grader.

I have taken 2 of his classes, I would never recommend him at all. I've emailed him multiple times regarding my grades, or questions on the material and he has never responded. He doesn't give clear expectations. He doesn't understand how to explain his grading, nor does he stick to it throughout the semester. WORST teacher I've ever had!

If you want a deeper understanding of philosophy, don't take it online. It's really impersonal and though he gives us three discussion q's a week, it's mostly just an assignment, not an actual discussion. Easy enough; PP with 40-95 slides each week w discussion questions and a 2 question quiz. Term paper can be PP, audio, etc. which is pretty cool.

I took Phil 2 Online during the summer with Al, and it was a breeze. There are 12 units, each with a power point to read, an easy quiz, and discussion questions. There's a midterm and a final which are just multiple choice, and some easy open response questions. There's also a 3-5 page paper, but it's not hard. Also, the textbook is not needed.

Great teacher, awesome class! He is super organized and his class structure is well thought out! His lectures and slides are directly related to the material he expects you to learn so the chapter reading is somewhat optional. You will learn a lot of very interesting things!

Great guy awesome class. Took Phil 2 Ethics 9:30 am made waking up early worth it. Reading with small summary for each chapter. One term paper. One group project (actually quite fun). Would definitely recommend this class.

Comment:
Easy A, but oh my god, so boring. Grading criteria is so unclear its ridiculous, like for the group project we were told to do a 20-30 minute presentation on a chapter in the book not covered in class, and AFTER the last group gave their speech, he told us if we did it we got an A. So easy, but this guy's lectures will put you to sleep.

I took his ethics class online. There are three discussion questions per week (per unit) and one quiz weekly. There is one midterm and a final paper/PowerPoint presentation. It's an interesting class, but don't let the fact that it's a GE fool you. The two exams are basically what makes your grade, so do well!

I am in week 4 of his ethics class online and really enjoying it so far. Each week is organized and has a small quiz and DB to complete on the reading for the week. His power point's give you all the information you need to succeed. He is extremely respectable and shares great insight into the topics. I would take another class with him.

I never read the book once, I just read his powerpoints. They are filled with everything you need to know to succeed, but are much easier to read than the text itself. Its a very interesting class, it opens your mind a lot. Not a lot of homework. just weekly discussion boards for the most part.

Professor Cinelli's lectures can be boring, but they are very thorough and will allow you a comprehensive understanding of the philosophies of both ancient and modern philosophers. Little HW & 2 tests- mid-term and final. Based entirely on the powerpoint lectures. My advice and how I got an A- engage in lectures and re-read PPT's before test!

Voice is monotone but STAY AWAKE! Pay attention. Can use 1 page of notes on the 2 tests. 1 EASY group project. Whatever repeats a lot on the test. Boring but easy. NO NEED 2 BUY BOOK his lectures go over it in depth. For the chapter analysis just summarize his lectures and your opinion. Just do the chapter summaries, which takes late, show up A

Pretty boring but a completely doable class. He just reads off of the PowerPoints but he is knowledgeable and uses interesting examples that are good conversation starters. Doesn’t require class participation and doesn’t care if you’re there or not. I only used the book once. Barley any hw with extremely lenient due dates. Overall nice and not bad.

Extremely dull, boring teacher. He has little control over his class and lets the more disruptive students dominate the discussion. His lectures are painful, he just reads of of powerpoint slides for the entire class. Longest hour and 20 minutes of my day.

It's quite an easy class if you know how to write well. Tests are not easy, especially the multiple choice questions make you think twice, and there are a lot of questions from the book, so you have to read the textbook. 2 exams and a paper. Somewhat lenient on the due dates. Overall a very interesting class and you will learn a lot. Very nice guy.

I love this class. I'll admit he does make stupid jokes and doesn't explain every facet of logic. If you are willing to accept what he says without asking for the reason every time, it is the easiest class you will take. Contrary to what people are saying, he doesn't laugh at your beliefs. He's wondering why you are bringing beliefs into logic.
