Has to be one of the worst professors on campus. There is homework due every day there is a class, yet he uses the entire class period to go over the homework that was due that day. His tests wont be returned to you, and can only be viewed at his office hours. Expect to teach yourself if you decide to take him as a teacher.

Choose a different professor if you can. Seriously, doesn't follow a book, lecture, or explain anything. Has to seriously curve tests so people pass. Everyday he'll go over the homework you just turned in and assign more without lecturing.

He stands at the board and talks into it while simultaneously blocking everything he's writing. 3+ hours of homework most times due the next class period. No syllabus or schedule of any kind. No use of canvas or online material. Has no passion for teaching anymore and seems to just be trying to get by. Don't take him if you have the option.

Worst teacher I've ever had. I don't like giving bad reviews but it was an all around terrible course, and not for the material.

Tests are impossible to complete in the time alloted. He covers up his board work when he's writing on the board. He only does symbolic examples and only one example of any type of problem. You won't know really what to do on the homework until after you turn it in. Worst teacher I have EVER had.

Crosbie never handed out a syllabus for the class. A couple of people who didn't attend were dropped when it was never stated in the first place that attendance is mandatory. The book is your friend. Tests are very long, so you better know the material. Tests, although curved, are not handed back; he merely gives you the grade.

Comment:
Crosbie is very rigid in how he chooses to teach the course; for some it is difficult to understand but basically all he cares about is that you know how to do basic derivations. If you didn't do well in Diff EQ, you're not going to do well in his class. Also, he curves all of his exams by, at minimum, a letter grade, and ask questions AFTER class.

If you are a very fast and accurate test taker, you will succeed in this class. Otherwise, you will not finish them. Lectures are of little value besides the handful of days he covers new material. Homework is assigned every lecture, and tends to be confusing at times. He works out the solutions in class, but sometimes it's a little too late.

Worst teacher I've ever had. Stands in front of what he's writing on the board and mumbles. Knows his stuff, but has no ability or even interest in communicating with students. I will quit school before I take another course with this man. Test averages were usually low 60s, high 50s, but I managed to get a B in the class because of the huge curves

He has a unique teaching method by going over homework just turned in, but makes it crystal clear and helps on future homework and tests. The content of the class is extremely difficult, it is advised to get used to his teaching method if a student wants to succeed.

Crosbie knows his stuff and teaches the course from a math intensive standpoint. At first I did not care for his style of teaching, but follow his procedures and the material will make sense to you. This class requires effort, but you will learn a lot if you put in the time. He is willing to help you on office hours.

Great teacher, but the class was very challenging. Do the homework and pay attention in class. If you can't figure out the homework, go see him in his office because he is incredibly helpful. Had to work hard to earn a good grade, but I feel like I really learned a lot from this teacher.

Very time-consuming class but very rewarding. Gives HW every lecture. He?s not afraid to challenge students. Math intensive; HW?s and tests were solving PDE?s, IE?s or deriving formulas. He knows the subject very well and teaches very clearly. I invested about 20 hr a week to the class. If you can?t put that much time into it, you?ll hate it.

Dr. Crosbie is a very interesting character.Do what he says.Do everything how he does things. The day homework is due he goes over the homework.Take the time to write down what he wrote and fix your erros on the next homework.Generally the tests are not hard if you understand the homework.Go to class, pay attention, and do your homework.

This professor does not teach. His class was a misserable experience, and the only thing stopping me from urging all of you to switch classes is the horror stories I've heard about the other ****bags teaching this class.
