Al is the worst professor I have ever had. He has no respect for his students. His group project guidelines are extremely unclear, he gives little to no feedback, and then he is rude when you ask about your grade. Rumor has it that he is retiring after fall 2018, do your best to avoid him.

I hesitate to give a professor a poor grade, but I would warn students against taking Ellard's class. The one and only time I've had him as a teacher was for 508, and it was a truly dreadful experience. His class is fairly project-heavy, and he gives little instruction on how he wants things done. Not accessible, dull lectures, mandatory attendance

Al is usually disorganized, unhelpful, and condescending. His instruction is boring and unclear, and he often teaches material incorrectly or uses videos other people have made while sitting at his desk. On top of this, he doesn't grade easily and is inconsistent and stubborn.

Really nice guy but extremely boring. Lectures from power points every single class. He is lenient on due dates and changes them regularly. I do not recommend him, too boring to pay attention.

It's a research and writing class. He allows the class to decide how the semester will be ran. You do have to make a couple of 45 minute presentations and weekly article reviews and specific topics. Otherwise should be an easy A if you're a graduate student. Just be prepared to do a lot of writing

Fair professor and the class isn't that hard but REALLY boring. Just goes over powerpoints everyday. Al is a nice guy but needs to find a way to liven up his class! Also he never used the book, I bought it and never once opened and then the bookstore wouldn't take it back, my advice is to seriously not buy the book!

WORST TEACHER EVER! VERY Un-organized, BORING, Un-Clear on due dates & assignments! Grades poorly, lectures on common sense material repetedly! You have no specific clue to what your grade is or how to determine it until the end of semester, which screws you over if you need to bring your grade up. DONT TAKE HIS CLASS,He's the worst REC professor.

Terrible teacher, vague in every aspect of teaching. Makes sutdents learn on there own, and appears to not even care whether they do well or not. Do not take him if you do not have too, he is by far the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. Honestly who has a whack cross-word puzzle as a final exam. Terrible, Terrible Teacher!!!!!!!!

Al is my favorite professor ever! He isn't the type of professor to make the class and tests hard juse because he can. He really does try to help you and make you passionate about your RPL major. The class was easy and we got to go on a field trip! :)

The man does not know how to teach. He is the worst prof I have ever had in my life! He should not be teaching. He does not help you at all and does not explain anything. He is a not a hard prof, it that you have such a hard time putting up with him.
