If you think that you are going to take this class for easy credits you are wrong. Alan doesn't respond to emails well. You have to complete all you assignments on time. Make sure everything is complete for portfolio hand in and you will do good. Alan is very understanding and cares about his students. As long as you show improvement in semester.

Nice prof, I was sick all of October and he gave me more time for the midterm, very understanding. Expect an hour of talking about everyone's work, if you participate in the discussion you'll get extra marks. Assigns a lot of work!!! I had more work from that class than my other 3 combined. Attend with a good attitude and he'll be thrilled :)

Alan lets you do your thing, sets guidelines but you don't necessarily need to follow them. Critiques can be long winded, be ready to sit for a while! He does give good feedback though and is encouraging. Also very easy to get along with.

WOW! Incredible teacher. I had so much fun and wanted to succeed to the best of my ability in this class. The assignments are fun and interesting and challenging. I think he's intelligent and I am eager to learn more from him.
