Comment:
Dr. Polling is a great researcher but in my opinion he is not a great prof. I learned nothing in this class and I felt it was a waste of my time even though its required for my degree. The lectures could have been interesting and informational but he did not do a good job choosing what to talk about. There was a quiz and activity every class period

He's brilliant and hilarious, but you have to pay close attention to get it. His feedback on writing assignments will help you be a better researcher and writer. That feedback alone is worth twice the tuition. Don't split your infinitives or dangle your participlies. Even in science, those things are not trivial if you want to be a scholar.

Dr. Poling wrote the textbook for the class, which really shows his understanding of the field of Behavioral Pharmacology. He doesn't make the class hard, as he easily cold, and is concerned with you getting the fundamental ideas of how drugs affect behavior. Very approachable and interested in he success of his students. Great sent of humor!

Super-fun guy... for a professor. I find his southern drawl very amusing. He brought in all these old prescription bottles from centuries ago to show how crazy people used to be before there were any drug laws. Just do your best to pick up the syllabus info during his long and seemingly pointless lectures, and you'll do totally fine on his tests.

This is a very interesting class, lots of different aspects of drugs and drug use. A few tests and a paper, that's all there is for grading. Tests aren't bad as long as you show up to class you're fine.

He is the BEST prof I had. Very intelligent and presented course material in a attention-grabbing manner.I took his courses in mid/late 80's and I still retained a lot of the course info.He was very sexy too!

Kind a dry and boring lecturer, boring examples. Cracked one joke during the semester though.
