Comment:
This is Delgado's first year teaching at ISU and he is the man. I have always heard how this class is hard, but he teaches it beautifully. I am fully understanding the material and enjoying where he is going with it. We don't use the book, but it's good to look at for examples. Homework is 50% of the grade and fricken hard. work with friends

Dr. Delgado was an amazing teacher for modern algebra, we had no textbook, but he taught the material so well it was unnecessary. He took a strong interest in his students and their development, and he didn't assign too much homework, though what he did assign was challenging conceptually.

Delgato is an extremely difficult teacher. His homework and tests are brutal and require true understanding of the material. This is not a regurgitation class. That said, he is a very engaging teacher. His class is never boring. He is also pretty willing to help although he may seem unapproachable at first. I'd recommend him...barely.

Comment:
Oral exams. Not helpful, outrageous expectations, extremely discouraging, doesn't recognize effort - only final results. If you can't recite word-for-word on the oral exams, he believes you never learned the material. Brings you down, doesn't help you learn. This class was my favorite but by the end I couldn't wait to get out.

Dr. Delgado is a difficult professor, but if you work hard and do your homework, you should get a C or better in the course. Sometimes he goes off on tangents about math that isn't related to the test, but if you are interested in math, you shouldn't mind too much. If you want an easy math class, take another professor.

I would take calc 2 with someone other than him. He be-little's his students and isn't really approachable outside of class. He makes the class way harder than it needs to be..take it with someone else if u don't want a D.

I had him for Calc 2. He is very helpful and makes math fun (somehow). He assigns homework weekly, which sucks at first, but it helps you grasp the concepts. Calc 2 is a very difficult course no matter who teaches it. Delgado made sure that everyone understood the material. His tests are very hard, be ready. Do the homework and study & you'll be ok

I took calc in HS & only knew how to do the problems. Now i understand the true concepts of calc. Delgado is the best math teacher & 1 of the best overall teachers i have ever had! He sometimes comes off as a jerk, dont let that get to you. He is VERY helpful & a good guy. I recommend, but this class will not be easy (i worked HARD for a B)

I took calculus in high school so the first test was easy for me because it was review. After that, it was rediculously hard and I had no idea what he was talking about. If you miss class you miss a lot of material and he is really anal about homework. I would say avoid him, but then again, bradley had an awesome math department

Great professor! Very helpful and has lots of office hours. His class examples are fun and he actually teaches APPLICATIONS of mathematics instead of just boring theory. His tests can be evil but if you do the homework then you will do just fine. Rule number one for passing his course: DO THE HOMEWORK, and do ALL the problems.

HE'S THE BEST! He is difficult, but you learn so much, and he's totally fair in grading. Honestly, Delgado is one of my favorite teachers ever, and I would recommend him to anyone interested in math. He made me love math, and if you try, he's a super encouragement. You need to work hard, but if you do, it'll pay off.

He really knows what he teaches, and does so at a fast pace. Missing class is not a good idea if you want to keep up. Assigned homework is hard, and takes a long time to complete, but necessary if you want to get a good grade.

Fast-paced while teaching, but very helpful. At times tries to make students look stupid. Other than that, do the homework, and go to him first, if you have problems.

Watch out for this ol' boy!! If you are like me and havent had much in the way of math classes, you will be hurting! The homework and tests are all explaining types of things....strange since you would think a math class would be more math based. I got a C on the midterm and got a D on the final which screwd me over!

This guy becomes infuriated when you don't know the answers. HE WILL MOCK YOU IN CLASS. He often writes in a very fast and messy manner, as well. Most of the homework you do is useless, he only grades about 1/4 of it. He also likes to rush through the material. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. This is a fair warning from a hard-working student.
