Comment:

All the reviews do a good job summing up Dr. Malinowski. He knows what he's doing, but he's not a great lecturer. You will get more out of asking questions during office hours than class time. Would recommend textbook for exam studying.

There's not much more I can add that hasn't already been said in other reviews. He seems aware of his many flaws as a teacher & makes up for it with tons of resources and extra credit, so it's tough to get a bad grade, even if you come out more confused than when you started. He's very accessible which is more than can be said of many profs here.

Terrific teacher at, well...everything except actually teaching. Don't bother going to class: unless you already have a technical background (I didn't) you will learn nothing. Makes up for it with a *HUGE* amount of online resources and he picks excellent textbooks. Very accommodating if you meet with him in his office hours.

Dr. Malinowski is a cool guy who will help you with your projects and really wants to give you an A in the end. If you give it effort and talk to him about your problems he'll be lenient. He just wants to do cool things and wants you to do cool things too.

Very hard to understand. Going to class is pointless. His lectures are very irrelevant to homework and tests, which tend to be very difficult. But he's very smart and will help you a lot if you see him or email him. He also has some extra credit opportunities. He's not my first choice, but he's not a bad guy either.

If you havent taken C++ before than don't bother taking this course, you wont understand a thing. His accent is VERY thick and he is all over the board it's confusing, but a very friendly guy and really tries to help you.

Cares about students but lacks teaching abilities. Class often goes into tangents about non-tested or repeated material. After waisting time on these topics he then tries to cram a whole lecture worth of material into the last 10 minutes and ends up holding everyone late. Advice: attend office hours and study online examples and old exams.

Although he seems like a nice guy, I was *distinctly unimpressed* with his class. He is very hard to understand and generally seems to lack public speaking skills. Add to this lectures that are very sporadic in nature, and you get a class that is extremely boring, and hard to follow/understand. However, if you know C++ already the class is easy.

His is very nice, and is VERY helpful when u go to him with a question. Otherwise, he cant teach. He knows his stuff very well, but his accent makes it totally boring. There's no need to go to his class at all, since even if u do, u will not understand n-thing. The subject though is very easy.

Olek is very helpful, I've e-mailed him at midnight and got a response 5 min later. I don't know programming much but I only went to class to see what to read from the book. He is very lenient with hw (2 weeks late is ok). I'm taking him again.

Very good teacher, Kind of hard to understand but you get used to that after a while. Homework can be somewhat difficult but he will answer any questions you have. He also runs tons of office hours. He knows his stuff and will not let you leave until you understand it. Very recommended.

The worst part was that the homework often took hours upon hours to get just right, but he is an extremely helpful person if you just ask . He cares a lot about students it seems, and you get used to his accent after a short time. Overall good to take.
