He is a renowned topologist and a great teacher for those who want to actually learn. If you are a math major complaining about Greek letters, then you probably shouldn't be a math major. Great professor overall.

Blind and deaf, cannot understand when someone asks a question or when someone gives an answer. He can become a jerk and it gets frustrating. I would avoid taking him.

hard to understand. doesnt really use numbers, uses greek leters all the time. he writes all over the board and hard to follow. i am a math major and usually understand math teachers, not the case for him. i would suggest getting a different professor if possible. I ended up with a B, but i had to teach myself basically.

If you think you're at a disadvantage for having had him for your first proof class, then you probably shouldn't be trying to prove anything. He's great if you want to learn.

I found his accent pretty understandable and his course pretty mild. All in all, I'd say average-to-good.

he was probably the worst teacher I've ever had. Can't understand anything he says. Should get fired for how bad he is. Tests are ridiculous and unclear, don't know what he wants till after you fail it

It was a difficult class but really worth it. The best professor you could ever have if you really want to learn something and have half a brain. He's a master and gives you interesting open problems, disguised as solvable ones.

Extremely thick accent that's impossible to understand. Now that I'm taking higher level math courses involving proofs, I definitely feel at a disadvantage because I had him for 306.
