Took German went in there day 1 and he expected everyone to understand him speaking in German. Was like throwing us in the middle of Germany and saying good luck. He acted as if people's life depended on them knowing German.

He cares so much about his students! By far, the best and easiest IDEAS teacher; other students with different teachers had so many menial assignments, but Professor Phillips just wanted to see his students be passionate about something instead of write a million papers. He loves to joke around, and class discussions are off-beat and exciting.

Probably one of the better Ideas professors. Not very clear on his grading and his lectures were somewhat interesting. There was about 3 major papers that he never gave back to us, but sitll got an A even though I am awful at writing and didn't participate that much.

Alex is the best professor I have ever had. He is incredibly intelligent, so passionate, and just hilarious. He makes this otherwise boring class so interesting and stimulates lively discussion. Only assigns three papers all year, but does not believe in grading so most do well. A truly enjoyable class that I don't want to end. Take this class!!!!

Course Taken: What is Creativity? (One Credit) Great professor! I honestly enjoyed his lectures a lot, of course, I was in a very casual one-credit class with him, but he's a great guy and is very focused on participation.

A truly incredible and brilliant person. Has accomplished a lot of interesting and cool things in art, life, etc. Makes the class a comfortable setting even if its boring info. One criticism is he goes SO off track the syllyabus if he gets excited about something/literally never returns anything on time...ever ever ever. if possible GET HIM!!!!!!!!

Alex is a brilliant man. He tends to ramble, and I'm still not entirely sure what he teaches, but his ramblings open your mind to the most interesting thoughts. Encourages a lot of group discussion and participation on really interesting topics where there literally cannot be a wrong answer. Super chill and easy going. Fantastic class.

Most students in the class were not interested in learning. The class would have been a lot better with better students.

This class was alright, although Alex is crazy. :D I think he just wants his students to expand their mind and sort of "think outside the box", and use original ideas, which is why he's vague sometimes.
