Lobato has been the best teacher I have ever had. I had taken a class with him in the past and I knew I wanted to take more classes with him! He is a really cool, fun teacher and is very understanding. He really helped me get through anything I struggled with.I learned so much with him. I am looking into taking more classes with him.

He says that in his class it should always feel like a safe environment & that no one will ever get picked on for asking questions or anything, yet he picks on students & makes the stupidest jokes & remakes & LOVES to throw shade at students & call them out during class. Hes gives out SO much homework! He has an awful personality, very dude man.

Mr. Lobato is the best math teacher I have ever had. His lectures are spectacular, he covers a lot of information in his class and he breaks the chapters down and explains it in a way that it is easy to comprehend. I would definitely recommend this teacher.

Lobato talks a lot in class about his life outside of the classroom but he is an excellent teacher. He explains everything very thoroughly. He encourages questions and is quite helpful. He does great reviews and prepares you for tests.

Comment:

With his class you need to do homework just about every day so don't slack. If you keep up with it, take notes of lecture, and go to the ILC for help you should pass with a C or higher. Even if you are bad at math like I am. It was a tough semester but he is a nice man and explains math very thoroughly. Highly recommend him.

Really nice and funny instructor, on his lectures he tries to be very specific and is open to questions at any time. He offers help during his office hours and encourages students to go to the MLC for more support.

Lobato is a great instructor who is always available to answer questions; he is very blunt and does not sugarcoat things. He is great at explaining problems and strongly encourages students to take advantage of the ILC and MLC. He talks a lot about food, and gives daily lectures to help keep students on track. Quizzes and tests are not hard.

He gives the class too many lectures about how no ones tries and to not even bother taking his next level classes because they're going to be way harder. He really discourages a lot of students and rushes through the teaching. He thinks his class is the only class you're taking and expects you to get an easy A. He is a very negative teacher.

He's the kind of instructor you don't want to have if you are not super good at Math. He likes to remind you every class how hard the course is going to get instead of being sensible and helpful. He talks too much about his personal life, and makes jokes that are not funny at all. I do not recommend this instructor.

Amazing math teacher! Very clear and explains things very well. Answers all of your questions. He's the type of teacher that explains how and why to do things rather than just showing you how to solve a problem. He's also likes to make a lot of jokes, keep and make you feel relaxed. If you struggle with math, this is your teacher! Would take again.

The best math professor. He explains the material so clearly and answers any questions you have. As long as you keep up your end of things you will pass the class. his tests and quizzes aren't difficult as long as you are keeping up with the homework. The final exam review is crystal clear on what you will see on the final.

Alfonso is an amazing teacher. I had his class last semester (my first semester at Cabrillo) and he made class fun. He gave great, clear and helpful notes,not to mention his lectures were always entertaining. He writes all his tests and quizzes himself and doesnt try to trick you. I would take his class again in a heartbeat.

Lobato was the best teacher I've had at Cabrillo. I thought that I hated math until I landed in his class. It soon became my favorite! He explains the process of mathematics clearly. He takes time to address questions and will help outside of class. Do all the homework that's assigned and show up, you will pass. He also keeps it light and fun!

I was never good in math, but when I took his class I was amazed of what I was able to do. I passed his exams with good grades and made it so easy to understand. Love the dedication he puts into lecture and how he is always willing to help his students.

Hands down one of the best professors at cabrillo, and that I've ever had. And I've been to two other colleges as well. Hes extremely helpful and cares about the students. I'm very grateful I had a chance to take him, its very hard to get into his class. This isn't a easy A, but as long as you try you will succeed in his class. Highly recommended.

He is a great teacher! can't say anything negative about him. He makes math fun by all his jokes, he made me like math.
