He likes to call on people randomly. Makes you do homework and assigments every week. I sometimes like his lectures and other times dont care for them. Too many papers and assignments.

Dr. D'Anca is a great professor. I took him for SOC203 Social Diversity. There was no textbook for the course and he doesn't post on Blackboard, so in order for you to excel in this course you either really have to pay attention during his lectures or have a friend in the class who takes really good notes! Easy A!

He's an okay professor. Extremely boring in his way of teaching though, and he assigns so many things to read and to write/type. Great person, but not so great of a professor. No slides or textbooks, just note-taking and him talking throughout the whole class. His method of teaching just did not stick with me.

He lectures endlessly, I had more homework and assigments from him then all my other classes combined. Fairly easy class but be ready to put in work (you cant miss more than a day or two or he reports you) , rand. picks on you for qus .. but a fairly easy A (your test scores are what matters) ..

Dr. D'Anca is an amazing professor. He really know his subject area and delivers the class with a passion that is conducive to learning. If you are ever stuck or unsure of anything, do not be afraid to ask him for help. Utilise his office hours and you are sure to pass without a doubt. He is very considerate and prints out hand outs.

He speaks with so much energy that it sounds like hes trying to inspire an audience. Hes always willing to help and he doesnt take off a bunch of points if you give in homework late from time to time, but the homework is super easy and short. He posts all the readings on blackboard too.

Very laid back, easy going guy. Hes very unclear with test dates and homework so they change alot. Attendance really is a must because all his test questions come from his notes and if you miss a day of notes copying from someone else really isnt an option--his notes are ALL over the place. pay attention & take notes and youll do fine

I found Dr. D'Anca very frustrating - not necessarily bad, but he talks in circles/likes to hear himself talk -- also, our final paper was supposed to be an answer to a question, but the "question" was a statement. You cannot answer a statement.

Interesting class whether it is because of him or not but he's easy going, laid back and helpful so Im sure that contributes to the class' interesting days. Good topics, open-minded and encourages discussions. Calls you out at random but thats a good thing cause he makes you speak up and if you dont know the answer, he's cool when you say u dont.

Great guy, but his grading system isn't very clear (especially with short essays on exams and full-blown reports). Relies too heavily on statistics/numbers during exams, so you better know what the percentage rates for poverty are...And even if he's not asking for percentages, the other questions are very tricky.
