Scalza is a great lecturer, you'll understand him and if you do the work, you'll have a great understanding of this class. Unfortunately, he is a lazy grader and makes numerous mistakes in his tests. Skipping over parts of the questions and only checking the answer of a multi-step problem with no real partial credit. Not a good indicatorofknowledge

This class was tough, I've had Scalza twice before and I always thought he was crystal clear, but understanding some of the concepts in this class was a pain. The formulas are easy but some of the concepts are hard to grasp. Tests are open book and even though it was, the average test grades were in the 60s.

This is the second time I've had Prof. Scalza. The one thing I always liked about him is that he brings his personal experiences into the classroom and tries to relate them to what's happening in the text. This class requires a lot of writing and some effort on the student's part. Tests we're decent if you've studied (no open book in this class).

Probably one of the best professors I have ever had. He has deep insight into his field and always relevant information to share. I regret that I have already taken all the classes he teaches. His classes are not a breeze but his teaching definitely preps you for what is out there. Stay focused, do the homework and you will succeed.

A Great, organized professor. He's a very knowledgeable guy, approachable. Fair w/ grading…keep up with homework problems and you’ll do fine on exams. Ask questions because concepts are a bit difficult in this class. I’ll be signing up for more of his classes.

BEST professor out there. i listed him between easy and hard because his class is not a breeze. you need to be on point. but you will get a good grade if you are a hard-working, dedicated student and you will learn more in this class than any other. youll have fun while doing it as well.
