He's a good prof. Tests are pretty hard, but it is possible to do well. There are a number of group papers, so if you have a crappy group, you're in trouble. He lets you pick groups in the beginning, SO PICK WISELY!!!

Here is a stickler for deadlines (discussions posted by Wednesday, etc.) but very fair and reasonable in grading. Gives great feedback and the course is just very well organized in general. Highly recommend.

This class was OK. He assigned us a group project which was the worst part because its hard to get in touch with people you don't know. The weekly discussion posts were easy but the exams were a bit difficult. Also, the final paper was an insane amount of work. I spent like over 15 hours working on it & did poorly but he curved the overall grades.

Professor Kara's class was interesting but it taught you very little. I found myself relying on the book far more than his presentations. He changed the grading system so that you need a 94.5 to get an A and the tests are deceptively harder than I expected. Whoever told you this guy's marketing is the class to have or an easy A likely misled you.

Dr. Kara was a great instructor, class was very well prepared for the online experience. Weekly discussion boards, and other assignments spaced out well during the semester. Only complaint was the instructor didn't give enough time to complete midterm/final online, timer was very unforgiving. Great experience, though.
