I can't really say anything about her teaching style because all the lectures are videos by another prof and then there's online hw and tests. The one time I have had to contact her, she was rude and dismissive. She has been condescending in pretty much all her communication with the class. I would not willingly take a class w/her again.

Comment:

A++ Knowledgeable, approachable, understanding, kind & dedicated. Very patient with students that need extra help grasping material. If you take MAT120 as a 1/2 semester - be prepared to learn alot of material in a short time. Do the online HW (she gives extra credit pts), don't miss a class and you'll do great! Only 4 tests & final exam.

Even after just sitting through a few lectures, it became evident quickly that Mrs. Solomon is one of the nicest instructors that I've had so far. While she does teach a little too quickly at times, the information is always presented clearly and accurately. Missing even a single day will cost you in this class.

Comment:

Very nice and knowledgeable teacher yet she goes through the lecture quickly and skip steps. I honestly felt at time she was speaking Greek. I loved math until took this class. I already have my B.A. but decided to do a career change late in my 30's so I am back in school and I can say I've never honestly used any of this math in all of my life.

I think she is a great teacher. Very clear. Very straightforward, will never trick you. You have to be not trying at all to fail this class. I would take her again in a heart beat. Homework is extra credit.

This course was tough she speaks very fast and skips steps when working problems. I missed one class and it was the biggest mistake! Don't trust her final review it was NO help and coast me my grade! She never looked at the final when making the review. She will answer questions but it doesn't really clear things up unless your really good at math.

She will help you at her office hours. She does explain a little fast I guess, but if you ask questions she will be more than happy to help you. She is overall a very nice woman with a nice attitude. She also will give you every point you earned on the test! Very fair grader! I would recommend her.

This professor was super easy, her study guides were very helpful for tests and she has her class lecture videos posted on the D2L and I found that very helpful. This was an easy A+. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I am not good at math but A. Soloman explained things in a great way she doesnt skip a bunch of steps(which always gets me off track) if she does skip a small step she stops and asks if any one missed why and will redo it again if you didnt understand. You have to show up and do ALL the homework but after that I got an A!

Mrs. Solomon is a GREAT teacher! This class was actually very easy and I'm horrible at any kind of math. Mrs. Solomon made me love math by the end of this class! Tests are easy I haven't gotten a grade lower than an 86 the entire class. I highly recommend her as a teacher! :)

Had an easy time, made B+, almost A. MUST show up for class if you want to get anything out of it. Lectures were fine, little boring toward sometimes because I already knew that particular material. Tests were easy if you paid attention, gives partial credit. I did hwk for like 2-3 weeks and made a 91. Math @ 8am was bit rough sometimes lol

Very helpful. She taught the material in a clear and concise manner. There are alot of concepts to learn in the first few months of class. If you do not show up or do the homework you will fail. Mrs. Solomon will do everything possible to help you succeed, but you have to do the rest.
