Take this teacher for speech! I was really nervous prior to this class about speaking in front of people but she breaks it down so easily so you won't be nervous at all! I definitely am more comfortable with speaking in front of people. Take this teacher!

You do not need the textbook for this class! Save your money on that. She requires readings but theyre not necessary. Everything youll need is in her lectures. Textbook was only used on final which is open note so go to library and take pics instead. 2 speeches, 3 essays, and one group project. Required to attend event for one of the essays.

Comment:

Relatively straight-forward and easy class. Professor Shubb is fun, humorous and very lenient. Test are open notes and and purely based on lecture & discussions. No real "homework" aside from a very open topic research paper. Barely used the textbook at all. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, engaging and simple Interpersonal-com course.

I loved this class. Not only is she a fun professor but the way she set up her class makes everything flow and fun. You can notice how she uses what she teaches in her own classes. Makes it easy to REALLY learn.

it is a 16 weeks class. 2 days a week that is 32 class total. NEVER seen her wear the same outfit twice. she is good and cute for her age. she is on TEDTALK. Take her if you want to be a good public speaker

Professor Shubb is interesting and passionate. But you won't get easy A just because you did all your best on speeches. You will have to write lots of papers and she is awful grader. I got A in all my writing classes and C on her papers. She demands from you much details in papers which she did not explain. She is very critical and tough

Incredible professor! She's super interactive and you can tell she loves teaching. I would take her for every communication class if I could. Great quirky style, funny, smiles a lot. Not really any homework. Easy tests and projects if you pay attention in class. Not the class you want to skip, she goes over entire concepts in 1 lecture.

Professor Shubb is fabulous! We have 5 speeches and one multiple choice exam ( which is unnecessarily long), but overall a good professor. Also, she's so hot for her age... such an inspiration

Shubb is a quirky professor with a stylish taste. What I didn't like about her class is the fact that almost all the assignments overlapped. So you either had way too much time to do something, or not enough time. The two speeches were done in the 1st half of the semester and were an easy A. The group project dragged on forever. Overall, it was ok.

Professor Shubb is an awesome teacher. It is not always clear what she is looking for but just ask if you don't understand. She gives great feed back on papers and speeches, and you will need to book to help clarify. I would recommend this class for the more independent students.

Attendance is not mandatory, but recommended. For more than 1 of her classes, tests are open-notes. Participation in class is essential, sometimes making a full letter grade difference. Great at clear, concise requirements, as well as feedback. Knows how to keep a lecture from slowing to a grind.
