This professor was amazing! She was a little eccentric, but her class remained fun and enjoyable throughout the semester (plus she was fairly leninent). She was neither easy nor difficult, but still a great teach! I learned quite a bit from her. Definitely recommended! :-)

Comment:

Its a fun class and you learn alot. There was only 4 take home quizes and 4 exams with two chances for extra credit. The only difficulty is the exams which notes and books are not enough as the words are often twisted. So study and try to apply what you learn. Memorizing terms will not go far.

She's difficult but she is a funny lady. She is obviously very knowledgeable about her subject. Tests, quizzes and the research component of the class are the only grades so be sure you study! Also extra credit is offered.

Comment:

She's funny, will clarify if you ask, very helpful. Overall a pretty good class, I honestly have opened my textbook a handful of times, almost anything you need to know for a test or quiz is in her notes, take home quizzes are A+. Study for the tests, they are tough but as long as you study for about an hour, you'll be fine. Lots of notes.

Her mannerisms remind me of Ezma off of Emperor's New Groove(in a good way), needless to say she is very entertaining in class lecture.Her tests are difficult, but if you study alot you will be fine. Fair grader.

She is a very tough research professor, seemingly unfair at times, but it just makes you work that much harder. Sometimes she can come off as being rude. And then other times she is very humorous and light hearted. Does she care if her students learn? Probably not. It's not her problem. Ah yes, and everything you've learned about APA isn't right.

Keeps lecture very interesting. Presents information very clearly and provides examples when necessary. She gives a lot of notes so attendance is highly recommended. Tests are not easy, but if you study your notes and skim the text you should do well. She also gives many opportunities for extra credit to help your final grade. Highly recommended.

Dr. Ritter was an amazing psychology professor. Her class was strictly lecture and notes, a lot of notes. But she kept the lecture very entertaining and let you know what you needed to know for the test. I highly recommend her!

Mrs. Ritter is a fantastic teacher. She is very knowledgeable about psychology and it shows in her lectures. In my class, I don't think I opened the book once, as everything you need to know for the tests come directly from the lecture notes. There are a LOT of notes but she manages to keep your interest no matter what the subject matter.

Sure she's a great entertainer when she's lecturing but she doesn't teach you a darn thing! She can't answer your questions cause she thinks you should find the answers and her test are from the previous books. Her take home quizes are virtually impossible to get an A on because again all the questions/examples are from past books used in this clas

hands down best professor i've had. she has cemented my interest in psych, even RESEARCH, something i never cared about. she's so knowledgeable, she'll go out of her way to help. she is very caring, and very challenging. she wants her students to do well and she wants to teach them all she can. she will push you to LEARN! so much respect for her!

I HATE HER. WORST TEACHER EVER. She gave me zero on an extra credit assignment I worked sooooooo hard on...her tests do not include different information than she says they will include. She isn't good at communicating, and lies. DO NOT TAKE HER.

I credit Dr. Ritter and her research class with killing my interest in psychology. The material really wasn't hard, but the tests are made in such a way as to be open to interpretation--but not YOUR interpretation. There's only one right answer--hers. Any other source of info is de facto wrong.

Comment:

She is really funny and keeps the classes attention by relating information to everyday life. The tests are hard but she allows for a lot of extra credit by participating in research. Attend class because she doesn't always go along with the book. She also takes at least 10 questions from the study guide for the tests.
