Comment:

Prof. Pero was a really engaging speaker and was pretty comical as well. His analyses of poems were exceptional and his assignments were fair. He also was great to speak to during office hours, was down to earth and easy to talk to. Definitely helped me with my final paper. Would take another class with him for sure.

He delivers his lectures without making eye contact with anyone and spends half the time reading incredibly long passages from the text in an affected accent. Lectures are not at all engaging and there's never any discussion. HOWEVER, the reading list for the class was one of the best I've ever had. I found some new favourite novels.

Amazing Professor with positive energy, a great sense of humour and passion for poetry. His teaching is infectious, and the experience I received in his class was like no other I have before. His expectations are clear, he is accommodating and accessible and always willing to help. Fair grader. Class discussion and his lectures are awesome!

Encourages participation, speaks clearly, and can make the entire class laugh. He will give you a chance to get creative through a response paper. He will also test you on memorization and theory, so definitely prepare for these two.

I took a graduate course with Dr Pero on Lacan, and he opened a new horizon onto the topic for me. Although I submitted my paper late, he was very understanding with my emergency and inspired a great strand in my academic writing. He is an amazing performer, passionate professor, understanding friend, and a communicator. I wish he would talk more!

one of the best professors i've ever had in my four years at western. take every single one of his courses, no matter what the subject is. he is witty, engaging, and very, VERY helpful. his material is hard to grasp at first, but the struggle is well worth the pay-off at the end. i am a better writer and thinker because of him.

Very clear and interesting teacher. This specific course had alot of material to be taught in a short amount of time, and he was one teacher among many who kept on schedule. I missed about 25% of classes, and it hurt, but thats not his fault! awsome teacher!

Pero has a totally animated nature about him that makes his classroom a stage everyday. His lectures are brilliantly well thought out, however, are read too quickly without time for deliberation. Stimulates intellectual thought reads beautifully.
