There is a lot of HW. He has written AND online homework. But it helps for the test. The class is heavily based on tests. If you do bad on one test, your are not going to do well. His lectures aren't organzied in way in which the students can understand. But honestly if you do the HW, pay attention and practice then you will do just fine.

In this class, there was an overwhelming number of homework assignments. There were several tests and some group review days. Prof. Walton was a nice man and was sometimes funny, but the class was too much for me. I recommend this class to only those students earnestly seeking to continue onto the Calculus sequence.

Mr. Walton is a bad option if you are not good at math. He will not always complete examples and expects you to already know course material. He has very limited office hours so going to get one on one help with him is very difficult. Also, the examples he gives are easier than the actual homework. Speaking of homework, there is A LOT.

This teacher has good enough lectures to where if you listen, do your homework, and study you will pass every test with ease.

Mr. Walton is your average math teacher. He gives a lot of homework, but its only to help you understand the materials. The tests are really straight forward, no loopholes/hard questions. His voice is so monotone that you might fall asleep if you have a early class like me. He sometimes skips steps on example problems so beware of that.

His lectures are pretty clear about the topic with a few examples here and there. One of the difficult things about him though is how much of a tough grader he is. Very picky about the little things for definitions and notations. Very old school teaching with a load of homework. As long as you understand the subject, then you should be fine.

Allan is a challenging teacher but if you follow through with everything, you will be fine. The homework load is probably a bit too over the top though.

Professor Walton assigns a lot of homework, but if you actually pay attention and put forth the effort you will walk out of his class with a strong, thorough understanding of single variable calculus which is imperative for integral and multivariable calculus. He is willing to help when asked and even provides a study guide. Picky with notation.

Yes he does assign a lot of homework, but he also gives us plenty of time (2-3 days) to work on it. If you don't understand a topic, go to his office and he is always more than happy to help. He spends most of the class time on lectures, but also goes over homework thoroughly. Overall, an excellent teacher and you will get a good grade if you try.

Back to traditional methods of teaching and some English class too.. Starts out writing definitions that you will need to memorize for the tests. Smart dude. Tests are harder than carbon nanotubes. Better start studying hard on day 1 LOTS OF HOMEWORK. Good luck. 100 Walton R. Fardad worst math teacher from party school

Vary tough grader. Will deduct full points for minor formatting errors (dropping limit notation early/late). Doesn't provide many in-class examples and gives tons of homework. Will allow students to come into his office for help, but sometimes is unhelpful. Did curve 2 of the exams since most did terribly on them. Does provide good study guides.

Moves very quickly and has a heavy emphasis on the lecture instead of examples. Explains the homework only a day before it is due. However, he does take time to answer questions.

Very old fashioned teaching style; students listen to a hour lecture with little emphasis on examples and then are expected to complete two assignments in a 24hr period. Written homework is useless as 90% of the time solutions aren't given. Doesn't allow calculator usage, know your trig in your sleep. Doesn't curve the class. Good Luck!

Wow. Professor Walton's class is a hard class. But he is a very good professor. Make sure to do his homework because if you can do the homework, you can do the exams. Also, sometimes he gives practice worksheets which are pretty difficult. Just be sure to not procrastinate in his class especially...you'll regret it during the final.

Gives TONS of hard homework. If you do all of his homework and actually understand it, you'll do fine on the test. He expects you work your ass off, so prepare to do so. Good luck.
