The hardest professor I've ever had. With out his class notes and old tests-no one will pass. During the semesters I took him- I would breathe, eat and slept with my organic notes. After taking his courses I learned how to study and there is no course I fear.

This class is hard but if you show up for class, read the book and use the notes he sells you should do fine. The notes you can buy off him helped me out the most. Also, work out the problems in his problem set and ask him questions about them in his office hours. He is intimidating but he is there to help you, so get his help.

here's the deal. i have had dr. lnae for organic 1 and 2 and got an A in both. yeah he is a hard teacher but if you are willing to put some time and effort in you may actually learn something if you aren't careful. He is a great teacher and is willing to help if you are willing to work.

Alot of students are used to being spoon fed information while the teacher holds their hand. If you are one of these people then think twice before you take his class. He is not a bad guy, just a tough teacher! But he really does care!

I was told not to take Dr. Lane for organic, and I know why now. It's not that he is mean or anything, it's just dang! That class is sooo boring and he teaches it like we all know what he's talking about already and doesn't explain well. He is helpful if you seek help though.

I have had Dr. Lane for both Organic Chem I and II and for a brief time had Dr. Kelly for Organic II. Dr. Kelly does not know half as much about organic as Dr. Lane does, and therefore is not as good at teaching the material, take Lane, work hard, and understand it, he's not here to make it easy.

Very difficult course, but if you work hard it is a very possible course. It does take a lot of time and effort on the student's behalf. I really learned alot though. A little moody at times but mostly pretty friendly. Overall, he just wants the students to learn a lot. Nice guy just bad reputation.

This man's goal in life is to make the lives of his students miserable. He is very condescending. I will admit he knows his stuff, but he isn't too helpful...he expects you to know it. He is really good at making you feel stupid. And I can't stand the way he laughs at his own stupid jokes!!

He is a great teacher who will give you everything he is testing you on. Show him you care, and if you aren't smart, DON'T TRY TO MAKE IT OBVIOUS AND ASK STUPID QUESTIONS. Study enough and look over the notes before class, and you should do fine.
