After taking Econ 101, he talked to me about changing my major to economics, which I eventually did, and I don't regret it one bit. He served as my adviser, professor, & friend. He knows his stuff and if you take the class seriously, you will learn a lot. I took several advanced classes from him. He made dry subjects enjoyable, like Econometrics

He gave me some extra points after the mid-term exam. He answered the all of the questions which I asked. However,I was confused because his lectures were not clear. He sometimes forced us to answer the multiple choices during the lectures.

Dr. Wilkins is nice, but really really confusing. He knows what he's talking about but no one else does. Class isn't mandatory but he gives random assignments in class. I never know what I have in the class except for my tests, which he scales majorly. As long as you read the chapters and can comprehend whats going on it's fine.

I didn't really like econ that much before I had Doc. I had heard bad things about his class and that he really expects you to know your stuff. That is definitely true but he will explain whatever you need him to. His handouts are helpful, and the quizzes/problem sets help you to do well on the test and help your grade. I worked hard for this A.

Those who rated well, prob got an A. For me, it's the hardest class I've ever had. He is incomprehensible. It's important to attend only so he will give a higher grade, but it's more important NOT to listen. This guy is utterly confusing. Practice sheets, exams, & notes ALL have errors.He's too smart to be teaching!

listen, this guy speak monotone, doesnt not clarify material, assumes that everyone is on the same page, and if not, will keep on going anyway. funny at times. but very difficult, and give about 300 handouts per exam. avoid

Hard to follow. Very confusing. Too smart to be teaching. Doesnt know how to explain things in a way thats easily comprehendable by someone who doesnt know the subject. Oh, yeah and he's not a lover of trees. TONS of handouts.

Silly little Wilkins. He would lose his head if it wasn't attached. This is Econ people it is boring and only boring people teach it, no offense I'm an econ major, but thats the way it is. He does try and he knows if you are there and if you try and he gives you credit for that.

He's super nice and he really does try, but he's very scatter-brained and it seems like he forgets that his classes arent AS educated in economics as he is. His tests are hard, the wording is confusing, and the practice essays are confusing (even when he reviews them) It's a tough class, and attending every day is HUGE if you want to pass!!

This professor was a disappointment. His lectures were unclear and irrelevant to exam materials and he was not available for help on several occasions when he said he would be. His exams make very little sense and I feel I learned very little on the subject from him. Overall, a friendly man but unhelpful and unclear.

Dr. Wilkin is a great guy and a great professor. He may not be the easiest econ professor, but he is not bad to take. He tries to give you the best grade possible as long as you try and attending class everyday is a must! All around very nice and educated man!

A very helpful, very generous man. Homework is assigned weekly, plus the class is handout and overhead-projector heavy. Occassional quizzes. Study guides for each test are representative and will guarantee you a grade in the A/B range if followed closely. Come to class and pay attention for optimum results; three exams plus comprehensive final.

AGGGGGGGGHHHH he's so boring! God love him.....he is flexible at the end of the semester though...you can basically fail every test and still get a C as long as you come to all classes and take quizes...and TURN in homework!
